On March 20, 1979… …The McDonald’s All-American High School game was played in the Charlotte Coliseum. The group of players who attended the game included the following: Sidney Lowe, Derek Whittenburg, Ralph Sampson, Isiah Thomas, Dominique Wilkins, James Worthy, Sam Bowie, Clark Kellogg, Antoine Carr and Byron Scott.
