NC State ranks second in the country in The Princeton Review’s annual list of the “Top 10 Best Value Public Colleges” released this week.
The lista ccounts for data provided by more than 646 colleges and universities across the country, as well as surveys of students attending them.More than 40 factors are used to rate schools in four areas: academics, financial aid, student borrowing and tuition GPA (tuition minus the average amount of financial aid received by students).
The only other public institution to rank higher than State was New College of (Sarasota) Florida. The University of North Carolina at Asheville, Texas A&M and University of Virginia also made the public school list. I THINK that State also made the Top 10 of a similar list released by Kiplingers last year; that same list included UNC-CH in the top spot. Carolina is not included in Princeton’s Top 10.
