A couple of weeks ago, our own Cal asked a simple question — does Chuck Amato need to make a statement?
Well….evidentally, the answer Cal’s question was a resounding “YES” as NC State Head Football Coach, Chuck Amato issued a public statement today regarding the departure of his three highest paid assistant coaches.
I’ll have more thoughts on the situation later…..but, you gotta give Amato major credit for publicly commenting and addressing the issue. I think that statement is really impressive. He said all that he could say in the forum and still got across a message that is appreciated by fans and is important for the general well-being of the program.
One quick note: I find it very interesting that GoPack.com’s online listing of coaches has already been edited to account for all of the coaching changes, including Mazzone’s that was made public today (3 days after Pack Pride.com broke the story that was known to many for weeks). That’s some really quick and proactive movement from GoPack.
