I’d LOVE a bowl game like the stomping of ND down in Jaxtown. That was a special win. When the QB got crumpled I broke into “turn out the lights, the party’s over”(respects to Dandy Don). With a few breaks that team could have gone undefeated. Turning the lights out on Bobby and the Noles on a cold November Saturday night was the cream on the top of that season. The goal posts coming down was one surreal sight.

Whether State is 12/1 or 20/1 would you lay down a C note on them to win the ACC? I wouldn’t. That’s all this is. Period.

“With only 11 seniors, NC State’s roster will skew on the young side again. Coach Dave Doeren was quick to point out that 70 percent of the roster is made up of freshmen and sophomores”.

That jumped off the page to me (well, right after the pics of the cheerleaders). I’ve been watching CFB longer than I care to admit & those numbers tell me to temper my enthusiasms..

DC, last season there were only two teams in the nation younger than us and look at the results. This year I think we do well with the youth, they have experience. Oh, and we get back a couple of defensive guys. In that 70% also you have a lot of redshirts. This is DD’s second recruiting class and we landed some pretty lofty players. If we do well and UNX struggles (which is more than likely), recruiting could be a bonanza. And if the NCAA actually shows up with the sledgehammer like CD was saying then recruiting could be golden. Oh the possibilities!

I’m thinking that Louisville is very winnable. We could have taken that game last year and they lost quite a bit of talent. Va Tech is still rebuilding. Those two could happen. Just hope we don’t have an “oh crap” game thrown in there.

This team is still VERY young, but they have been through the fire. The next two years could be very promising. I’d just like to see us up often so the second QB can get some playing time. Also want to see Hines part deux tear it up. If he gets the ball in the open field a lot there could be lots of opposition players watching his number getting smaller and smaller.

I would dearly love to see Clempson and FSU struggle this year. For FSU I’d love the whole team to go out for a roudy night on the town and get arrested. That place should be renamed Thug U. Oh and last on my wish list would be for us to beat UNX by 100 points.

Frugal, yes. But then you have to ride around with “UNC” on your car, no matter what the context.

Well there is that. LOL. Set point to mrplywood.

Long after Unx is banned from post-season across 5 sports!

It’s comin’ and it’s gonna be a doozie.

CD, I know you have inside scoops but is this ear to the ground stuff or just wishful thinking?

I went 7 weeks with less than an inch of rain. Hardly any of my corn came in, potatoes I got less than a 5 gallon bucket. Plowed in the potatoes and replanted 2 rows of corn for a late harvest hopefully, if I get enough rain. Everything else I could put enough water on to keep them going. In that seven weeks it poured rain less than a mile away from me twice, and once it rained in my front yard for 5 minutes, not a drop in the back yard or garden. It was one of the strangest things I’ve ever seen.

V just plain outcoached every coach he came up against in that run. The Pepperdine game was a classic. West coast game that started around 11 eastern time and at 3:00 AM I was still watching when my wife stuck her head in the living room and asked “Is that game STILL on?” I just nodded my head without even looking up.

Time to give the DA’s office a jingle and remind them of that little tidbit. They get enough calls they may just get irritated enough to do something about it.

^ Now that is a wascalwy wabbit that figured that one out, AND I bet it’s the truth. It actually gives the NCAA the open door to say the athletes were ineligible which makes their case for all kinds and levels of sanctions and let’s them off the hook for the law suits, BRILLIANT!

CD, sorry to sidetrack this fun fest at the expense of UNX, but I just recalled my favorite Stengelese…

You gotta learn that if you don’t get it by midnight, chances are you ain’t gonna get it, and if you do, it ain’t worth it.

To me the fact that under the impermissible benefits umbrella many games were overturned in the last punishment. That one pales in comparison to this one. A LOT of “wins” may go POOF!

Wayne Walden was the person Roy brought with him from Kansas. There is no way in heck that Walden KNEW and Roy DIDN’T.

I read each of the allegations, and they stated TONS of evidence through emails and such. 5 counts of LOIC could be really nasty in the long run. I hope they take away all of their birthdays. One thing is for sure, to answer the BOG person’s question, yes this will affect recruiting.

Amazon has them still. They are running low on remaining inventory though. their free version is pretty darned good though. One thing that theirs does that I have not seen many others do is download and run the software and installation even if you have a bug on the machine. Lots of viruses block the ability to download virus killers.

Well I make my living with these things, and I can’t afford a virus especially when doing web pages and such. I had AVG installed and got the rootkit virus. Tried numerous ways to get rid of it but only MalwareBytes succeeded. There is a free version, but the cost is so low I like the extra features of the pro version. The lifetime version is 40.00 for the pro.

MalwareBytes. The home premium version is very low cost and it is the best out there bar none. Corporate has McAfee and the IT guys use Malwarebytes to recover the laptops when they get infected because McAfee didn’t protect them. It’s the only one I’ve seen that will absolutely kill the Root virus on the first get go. I’ve been using it for years on my home systems and my wife was notorious for getting bugs from emails from her friends and junk on facebook. MalwareBytes kills ’em all. IMO it’s the Raid of virus protection, it kills bugs dead!

maters are starting to bloom, I got my conduit trellis up Monday and it rocks, 2 50 foot sections for lots of cukes and maters. Was hooking up my maters to it last night and saw two little ones!!!! YES! Squash, cukes, and zucchini all have blooms and corn is about 2 feet high. Won’t be long now.

So just to put this in perspective, we beat three really good programs just to get INTO the game. We lost to a team that had underperformed over the last 3 weeks BUT had really gotten their mojo back in the Tournament and were 3 – 0 also. AND they have a REALLY good team. Had it been 2 out of 3 I think we could have gotten at least one, and maybe two against them. It isn’t like FSU doesn’t have “THE” brand in baseball and football because they do! Things just didn’t break our way. And trust me, they REALLY broke our way Friday night. We could have not even made it to the big game if not for an incredible piece of luck and a great effort throughout the last 3 weeks of the season and the tournament.

What drives me nuts, and I’ve said it over and over, is the naysayers that continue, no matter what, to blast the program (collectively all sports) over EVERY loss. WAKE Fu@king up, We have made great strides in the last 5 years (since DY came on board). And we have been competing with a bunch of MOMBO cheaters for talent and I can see us turning that corner. My question is, just WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO PLEASE YOU GUYS??? A national championship in every sport would still come up short for those who find the shortcomings in EVERY EFFORT. I’ve got an idea for you, why don’t YOU go win those championships for us?
