YogiNCParticipant
Obviously I was thinking in a completely different “direction” McC. Correctional works for the pachyderms from AL.

YogiNCParticipantdirectional
Or correctional? Freudian slip perhaps? And they were 26 – 0 before that game. Imagine the humiliation! The second best team money could buy. Not sayin’ who #1 is, but the dump on the hump would suffice.

YogiNCParticipantCall that boy SANS-A-CLUE. Ummm me thinks he’s been partaking just a bit too much.

YogiNCParticipantFrom purely an analytical point of view Watson at this point would seem to have more going for him than Russell Wilson and Russell is wearing a Superbowl ring. Given the right situation and OC in the NFL Watson could be VERY good, better than Winston IMO.

YogiNCParticipantPack78, I saw quite a few holding penalties and pass interference that didn’t get called on Bama. What goes around comes around. Being a SC boy from birth I was pulling for the tiggers too, and I will continue to do so as long as they aren’t playing the pack. Say what you want, Watson should have been the Heisman. Jackson, is good but I’d take Watson over him 9 days out of the week (Yogi ism).

YogiNCParticipantRandy should have Yow and Gott sitting in his office this AM. When he enters he should hand both a sheet of paper and say “Write out your resignations”. Luckily I was watching my Steelers dismantle the fish from south beach, I recorded the BB game and deleted it without even starting it. 51 points? REALLY? Musta been payback for the butt kicking we gave the FB team.

YogiNCParticipantMe & Mama Bear, a cold beer and Blacklist…
Love Blacklist… great show. Had rain last night, freezing stuff didn’t happen until middle of the night, no loss of power thank goodness. light snow now. WIND IS KICKING BUTT! Wind chill ~12* right now. I have 3 dogs and one is a fair weather girl. She held it as long as she possibly could but finally bit the bullet and went outside, LOL. Stay warm my friends, you too McC (that’s a joke).

YogiNCParticipantHmmm… could this be 1995 deja vu?
Smarter than the average bear
YogiNCParticipantDon’t know if it’s gonna happen but I’d really love to see the Steelers take #7. No one has six but them and no one has been there eight times but them.

YogiNCParticipantMcC,
State will suck and they ain’t getting any of my precious time or well counted moolah.
Seems to me you spend a great deal of time disparaging said Wolpfack, so in effect they do continue to get your precious time. To quote a very famous line from my favorite Christmas movie “Do I paint a correct picture, or do I exaggerate?”.

YogiNCParticipantWe were a field goal away from beating what could be this years NC. As I thought back to this year’s team the only real WTF game was ECU and that was way early in the season, and NO KICKER. We lost 5 games to some really top notch competition. Every game we lost (and by very close margins except da ville) was to teams that pretty much had their way with their opponents in bowls. We were a touchdown away in 5 games from having an exceptional season.

YogiNCParticipantAs I watched UNX try to comeback on the cardinal something occurred to me and I’m going to lay it out here.
When a team is in the two minute drill instead of doing the STUPID prevent win defense (that IS what IT IS) why not jam the receivers at the line. Run the normal 4 down linemen and jam ’em or even hold them. If you get a holding penalty or pass interference so what, it’s better than giving up a 20 or 30 yarder. Who knows, you may not get the penalty, the time runs off the clock AND you may get a big sack OR you may get an interception. It would sure beat watching the other team just march down the field chewing up 20 yards at a crack. OK, I’m sure lot’s of folks will poke holes in this one. Have at it.

YogiNCParticipantRick, that thing takes practice to know how to make it look pretty. Have no fear, my grandma put more than one toothpick in hers to make it “behave”. The layers tend to be a bit slippery with that icing. The toothpicks will hold them in place until the icing is finished, you can remove them if you left enough of them exposed or leave them in.

YogiNCParticipantThomas IS A BEAST! Damn I hope the Steelers can get him. LOL.
As for the tree… Here ya go BOTB…

YogiNCParticipantACC 5 – 1 right now. I just cannot bring myself to even think I want UNX to win. The rest I’m pulling for but I hope UNX gets their doors blown off too!

YogiNCParticipantUmmmm , Drink 1, Canada 0…
Pitt looked really bad today. And they lost their best back in the first half but so did we. I mean really Matt, where was that high powered offense?

YogiNCParticipantRick, that happened with my pecan pies and a chocolate marble cheesecake many moons ago. As we used to say in the Navy, performance is it’s own penalty.

YogiNCParticipantThere aren’t many cakes that are really good that don’t require a time investment. Yep, this one is really time consuming. My grandmother would send me away to play when she made it because I was somewhat impatient. I’ll say this, unless you really messed it up it WILL be worth the effort. Merry Christmas.

YogiNCParticipantMac… six boxes — that’s a whole lot of sausage for two vegetarians…
THAT was funny! Thanks botb, still laughing. I needed that.
The position you’re in reminds me of a great far side cartoon by Larson. Guy is standing in front of two doors, one says Damned if you do, the other says Damned if you don’t. He looks perplexed. I feel your pain. I have outlaws that have been a thorn in my side for decades. Last Christmas I finally divested myself from them, to quote Tiny Tim, “God bless us every one”. The early out plan you’ve come up with sounds like a winner for at least a portion of the conundrum.

YogiNCParticipantCheck the IRS paperwork. They are non profit but are not a charity. Do they do good things? Sure, but not a legal entity considered a charity. Advocacy Yes, but they do not directly provide gifts to those in need which is the legal definition of a charity. Just because a group does good things on behalf of people does not make them charitable.

YogiNCParticipantThen the wife adds….”They want everybody to give the money their would have spent on their Christmas present to charity.”
Charity CD, none of those 3 are charities. Advocacy groups yes, non profits “maybe”, charities, nope!
