WulfpackParticipant
Marshall is still there for the highest bidder. Pass. Could he recruit top 10 classes like Gott?
Does it matter? He led WICHITA STATE to the Final Four last year. He’s currently 21-0 and ranked fourth in the nation this year. I will take his #-whatever recruiting classes for results like that any day of the week and twice on Sunday. It is about coaching. And he has won wherever he has been, and won BIG.
WulfpackParticipantI did catch some of Gott’s post game and at one point he talked about how proud he was that we cut it to 12 late in the 2nd half, and I said to myself I’ve heard that one an awful lot in the past. He also talked about being completely inept on offense in the first half, saying we were “dazed”.
WulfpackParticipantWhat a great Cuse/Duke game that was. Fantastic basketball. They are both light years ahead of us.
My global view on Gott is that he was an above average coach at Bama. Pretty good studio analyst. Then a great first year here. A very poor second year. And he’s doing about how everyone expected this year. I’m not in DY’s mind but I can only guess that she’s very interested to see how we conclude this season and fare next season. If both are substandard then I do think a change could very well be in order. She’s just not into fielding slightly above average teams. She pays very close attention to what other coaches are doing.
WulfpackParticipantHow’s Sean Miller doing at AZ
Or Greg Marshall.
WulfpackParticipantTo add insult to injury, Clemson knocks off FSU today.
WulfpackParticipantGott is good, but he is by no means great. We in all likelihood sit March out this year, and next year becomes very telling for his future here. Coaches that miss out two years in a row at major programs typically don’t fare very well, especially if those in your back yard are soaring by you.
UNC was the agressor today and beat us up down low. Vandy was a no show. For us to win against good competition takes a complete team effort. As of today we have wilted against the best teams on our schedule. That must change if we are to have any shot at March.
WulfpackParticipantThey are just better. Nothing really else to say other than we seem to fold against better competition.
WulfpackParticipantThey get up for us. There is no question about it.
WulfpackParticipantAs much as I love RW, Peyton takes the cake for me. What a story it would be if he came back from those surgeries and won it all to shut all the critics up. What courage. And what brilliance. If he is on the tube I make it a point to watch closely as he very well could be the greatest.
WulfpackParticipantUh oh! Good for her for coming forward.
WulfpackParticipantGreat win. We were the tougher team even with foul trouble. Really like a lot about this team. Warren was a beast.
Big big game Saturday. Gotta have it.
WulfpackParticipantA win over UNC would not be a signature win. Part of the problem with the NCAA chatter is we only have two more chances in the regular season of collecting one of these big wins: Cuse and Pitt. And Pitt may fall a bit as they really haven’t played anyone all year out of conference. It is a down year in the ACC, and we are doing our part in cementing that perception of the league we play in.
WulfpackParticipantYet, this:
(CNN) – The University of North Carolina failed some of its students “for years” by allowing them to take classes that did not match its own academic standards, Chancellor Carol Folt has admitted.
http://www.cnn.com/2014/01/28/us/ncaa-athletes-unc/index.html?c=us
WulfpackParticipantWe should win the remaining three games (WF, BC, and VT).
Maybe I haven’t been paying close enough attention, but I can’t go there. Not this year with this team.
We’ve been playing better since the second half of the MD game last week, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We’ve already lost to Wake. Have a loss to NC Central. And got blown out by Duke and UVA. I guess what I am saying is, with this young team, there are absolutely no gimmies. I thought coming in the best case scenario would be we improve throughout the year, playing our best ball in late Feb and March, with a shot at an at large bid. Still a chance but again, that is best case without a signature win. That’s exactly where we are today.
WulfpackParticipantI thought his comments were classless. That doesn’t make him classless. He just made a mistake. And anybody that thinks Crabtree is a “sorry” receiver might want to think again. They have a thing. The Seahawks and 9ers have a thing. And he and Harbaugh have a thing. But it was still awful.
Some are even suggesting this was all concocted by Sherman, to engage in this race discussion. Apparently he has some commercial out there.
And no he is not a thug. Plenty of thugs out there, many of them my own skin color.
WulfpackParticipantCarol “Fault” lmao. NCAA still turning a blind eye. Amazing.
WulfpackParticipantCreighton and Wichita State are killing it.
I just want to see some good steady improvement. NCAA talk is way too premature. A long way to go just for consideration.
Pleasantly surprised by the MD win as I called it off as well. Long day for me.

This is a total rebuild. Not sure that getting spanked around even more than we already are in conference is such a good idea. This young team needs confidence.
WulfpackParticipantVandy is getting abused. Nobody can make a jumper. And we get caught sleeping with 4 seconds left. No crowd support either. Not that I can blame them. This program is in the dumper yet again.

Jim Harbaugh. Ernest Hemingway.
WulfpackParticipantYou will find no disagreement from me that Sherman is the best DB in football.
But he’s a grade A self centered A-hole that does not seem to fit the mold of the Hawks. Let your play do the talking.
Something tells me Peyton is going to torch him. And you won’t see him yapping.
WulfpackParticipantI will take it as a bad sign that Mike Patrick is announcing tonight. He is almost as unbearable as Vitale. Blech.
WulfpackParticipantWhat a complete D bag Sherman is.
Congrats to RW and the Hawks, minus Sherman. No class.
WulfpackParticipantBlowout. Kaepernick going thru the Seattle D like swiss cheese. RW must pick it up for any Seahawk chance. Open it up.
WulfpackParticipantSeahawks all out of sorts. San Fran the better team thus far on both sides.
