WulfpackParticipant
If our players would practice free throws and defense as much as we study refs….
WulfpackParticipantCam himself said he needed to play better following year 2. Gettleman came in and essentially echoed the same. It wasn’t that is was an awful year, but he gave a couple games away and struggled with the leadership aspect. He’s put those doubts to rest following this season, and he will be the franchise QB going forward. He is a supreme talent and has shown immense growth this year.
WulfpackParticipantHe had a very good year. Do I think he is a franchise QB? I really am not so sure. That is a very high bar. For example, the Panthers are currently deciding if they want to make Cam Newton a franchise QB. Cam had a phenomenal record breaking first year, a very poor second year, and a very strong third year, leading the Panthers to a Division title and playoff appearance. It’s a tough decision that has significant ramifications for the future of any franchise. Is there enough on Glennon to really know?
WulfpackParticipantI am curious, if there is a true bias, what are the theories for the bias? How did it come to be? Why don’t we have the respect of (some) officials? Serious question.
WulfpackParticipantYea, Stick. But remember he’s a bad interviewer. He might even think a little too much of himself, too. God knows no other coach fits that mold. And a Final Four is no big deal. Anybody can do that.
And Tony Bennett stinks as a coach, too. I mean, how could the Hoos possibly be leading the conference with all this Blue and Orange bias? Oh wait, Hoos are Orange as well. That must be it.
WulfpackParticipantWho is calling the fouls in Luckie officiated games? I’d like to see the stats on this. It’s not just Luckie. Are you suggesting he has some kind of influence over his crew, to the detrimate of State?
WulfpackParticipantUVA is now in first place. Let me say it again. UVA is in first place.

WulfpackParticipantIf I am a top four seed I want as few games as possible. You’ve got other things on your mind, and you don’t want to tire out/be exposed to injury before the Big Dance.

They also had some guys show big that don’t normally do so. Our defense and intensity was not good. If Warren is blanketed or having an off night, we are done against good teams. Nobody stepped up to fill the void for the majority of the game. And our PG play was not good. So it is what it is – another blowout loss to a good team, yet another lost opportunity. Not many more left. Still a chance, though, which is why you do not throw in the towel. If we do, I will be very disappointed in players and coaches alike.
WulfpackParticipantI’m not mad about this one. Getting the team up for this game was a tall order as our hearts were ripped to shreds at Cuse. Cuse beat us twice. Now it can’t be three times or else the season really will be over. We will regroup and try to mount a charge, but we absolutely must beat Pitt and/or UNC.
WulfpackParticipantClemson looks like they could go dancing with that schhedule. All winnable games.
WulfpackParticipantAnd now with the margin you can add Clemson to the list of good to semi good teams that whipped our tail. That’s not good even if we are fortunate enough to be in the discussion.
WulfpackParticipantWhat’s so frustrating is we all saw it coming. Guess there just isn’t much you can do after out hearts were ripped out at Cuse.
WulfpackParticipantAnd now we look all out of sorts. Can’t even get a shot off.
WulfpackParticipantThat was the game, when we sat Warren.
Bubble trouble.
WulfpackParticipantThat stretch just killed us.
WulfpackParticipantWashington is developing into a fine player. What a body, too. He’s going to be fun to watch.
Of course Clemson has their best three point shooting game of the season against us. Same as it ever was.
WulfpackParticipantWe are getting destroyed. This is very disappointing.
WulfpackParticipantWhat a great recovery after a bad start. Good stuff.
WulfpackParticipantWe just gotta stay close and hope Warren can get going. Turner is hot so let’s keep riding that for now.
WulfpackParticipantBoy did we come out flat, understandably so. Warren a non factor so far. Clemson really keying in on him. Vandy just cannot stay on the floor. Cat and Turner keeping us within shouting distance.
WulfpackParticipantUVA toon Warren completely out of the game. That is what a good defensive team will do. We are a different team, and Clemson may not be as stout as UVA on that end. That is why I say it is going to be interesting to watch. And if it does happen, who steps up for us?
WulfpackParticipantI see it as both being true. The officials did cost us that game. We won it, and it was taken away.
However, Cat made a GREAT defensively play and we were afforded another chance to win it. Not only did we turn it over, we turned it over in the worst possible way – leading to an easy Cuse fast break lay-in.
There is plenty of blame to go around. The officials stunk, as did we executing the late game situation. Nobody wants to talk about that. I hope Gott does because it is becoming a trend with his teams in close games – just bad late game execution.
WulfpackParticipantAnother swing game. Can’t lose this one and expect to have much of a chance for the tourney. As good as Clemson is defensively, I am very curious to see how they (try to) handle Warren. Should be a close one.
