Nice win for FSU. Beating UVA could punch the ticket.

    See ya, Terps.

And Larranaga does seem to know how to summon the magic in March. He did it at George Mason and now at Miami. Big coaching advantage there.

It starts and ends with defense. TJ can go off and score 50 and we can still easily lose if we don’t pick it up on D. Way too many open threes given up to the Canes, and easy driving lanes without helpside. Our press really affected them, so maybe we see some more of that? Especially since we are rested and they aren’t. This is an even game.

I used to look forward to watching EVERY game in this tournament.

Right, but the same came be said for just about every other major conference tourney. This is what we have – it is not germane to the ACC.

I look at it like bowl season. I’d rather there be games to watch than not. I always have the choice not to watch.

That’s right, pup. And we know *ahem* some programs that usually finish very high don’t care about this thing anyways as it is all about the NCAAs. Everybody should get a shot at it, otherwise what is the point? Didn’t Cuse come out of nowhere and win four in four days a few years back? Probably not the best example but there are others.

Surprisingly solid attendance for this garbage. Basically a home game for Wake, but still many others there.

I sure will. No more comments from me on this topic, today. Clearly, it is a polarizing topic.

We get that you think the refs never effect a game

    Did I say that?

We were robbed of those victories.

If that is what you want to believe, by all means go for it.

Yes, Goodman and others like him are idiots.

Yep, next year is a crap shoot.

And my point about TJ, you take him off this team and we are bad. Not average, bad. We’re average with him. So next year will be interesting to say the least. Gotta groom ’em quick. No time to mess around.

    but were robbed of victory

Here we go again. I will spare us all and not go there today.

You guys will never find me trying to rationalize a loss to NC Central.

Yep, those are some pretty good teams. And we didn’t win.

Yep, everyone has WTF losses. The problem is we didn’t beat anyone. Others did.

At some point you have to look yourself in the mirror and accept what you are. And you take TJ off this team and, well…it isn’t pretty.

It’s all about media markets, my friend. Seems to be working as everyone is making more. Don’t really get it, either. But that’s where we are. And probably not going back.

Well, there’s two coaches now we know won’t be replacing Roy. Going to have to look outside “the family”.

We also lost to NC Central. And to Mizzou and Cincy. To Wake and Miami and Clemson. Some weren’t close. We are a medicore team not even on the Bubble. That is what we are.

Sad. Used to be a great place.

I believe Brownell left that program for Wright State in 2006. That tells you all you need to know. And it worked for him.

Wake and Notre Dame at 1, then Miami and VT follows. Last game for Bzz? Scouting time.

There are others that feel similarly, though obviously many mire that agree with Warren as POY. The argument is that we didn’t win enough. But you have to apply that same argument to Green last year at VT, who didn’t win at all, and he still won it. So it doesn’t hold up.

Going deeper, what I don’t understand is why some just assume it was Parker or Paige that led their teams to more wins. They are surrounded by MUCH more talent than TJ. So in fact, they could have had some off nights and their team still won.

TJ deserved this award hands down. He earned it. Nobody else was even close. And I am very happy that most in the media saw it that way.

I don’t think you could have asked Gettleman to make this move the day he was hired (a year ago). Tough decision to make. He’s a numbers guy, though. And yea, a lot of work to do on offense. Tons actually. Build around Cam.

Ginn put up better numbers, a Gettleman find. Smith doesn’t have much time left. You either move or you don’t.

Or, you can look at it like we had the ACC POY, by a landslide, and only went .500. It cuts both ways.

Yes, all of it does undermine the “theories”.

Bennett was the run away COY. Parker easily ROY. McDaniels DPOY by a landslide.

I also have no problem with Paige as most improved.
