It’s just interesting to me to follow the market for coaches. He and Miller were obviously highly regarded this time around.

If someone is willing to pay him 6 fiugres now, then I don’t see how it couldn’t be worth it. He can always go back and get a degree if that is something he wants and is able to accomplish. Take the money now, because everyone is only one knee injury away from being a spectator.

That has always been my position on this. And many pf these guys come from really poor homes. Don’t think for a second that aspect doesn’t factor in. And you can absolutely build a nice nestegg playing overseas if you are smart about it.

I’ll go out on a limb and predict we lose to FSU, Clemson and Louisville. Doesn’t leave much room for error if you’re looking for that break through season.

CBS Sports just ranked Doeren 59th, so there’s that.

Dave Doeren (50): Doeren just doesn’t receive a lot of respect in our rankings, as he has fallen for the second straight year despite going to three straight bowl games. I’m guessing the reason is that he’s 9-23 in ACC play

Lville only had two guys drafted. VT isn’t our peer? Care to tell me why?

Regarding the draft – the 3 players NC State had drafted tied us for 23rd in the country. While that ain’t earth shattering, it’s a solid number – especially when you consider most of our talent is in the junior class.

Look at it relative to your peers – that’s what matters.

    Miami – 9
    UNC – 6
    Clemson – 6
    Pitt – 5
    FSU – 4
    VT – 4

Can you please explain what is “PC” about punishing child molesters, and a program that harbored them?

Good question, tractor. And everything that has come out since the punishment just confirms it was warranted. It was all a big cover up. Which is disgusting.

I thought the Zags would have enough. I was wrong. Wasn’t Few’s best coaching job last night.

No, Houston. He is from Charlotte though.

UNC opens as a 2 point favorite over the Zags. I like the Bulldogs.

i mean, let’s not beat around the bush, this college basketball season, from an NC State fan’s perspective, is a total sh!!t show.

Remember the beginning of the season when it was Elite 8 or bust? Those were the days…

I think the Ducks will push them, but not enough in the end. I do like the Zags against them.

This Gonzaga team can beat UNC. Not that I want to see that game. Hope UK takes care of business today.

It was absolutely a reference to Yow.

There was no Plan B. That’s kind of the point. Whether that’s on the AD, or just the negative perception of the job in general, it doesn’t matter. Clearly, our $90k spent for the search firm turned up no one better than Keatts. Or, Yow panicked and took what she could get before it turned into yet another circus. Either way, it’s on her. It’s her “big” hire after Gott failed. And she will be judged by it, good or bad.

I will say – how sad is it when you have no shot at an alum who is destined for great things? Very depressing.

The bashing of Archie has indeed been silly, and spiteful. I don’t really care what the national media has to say. But, IU showed you. IU isn’t offering to a bad coach. I also listen to what other coaches have to say, and Mike Brey, calls it a home run for both as well. So there you have it. If Archie fails, he’s got upwards of $28 million to go think it over. Oh, and he’s 37-38 years old?? He’s going to be around for a long freaking time.

Ultimately, Yow will be judged on the Doeren/Keatts hires. The verdict on Gott is already in – and it isn’t good.

And I still remain perplexed how so many Pack fans seem to gloss over the grossly negligent Gott contract extension. Didn’t make sense then and certainly not now.

I knew when IU came open the Miller sweepstakes was over for State. Just got that feeling. Of course, we probably didn’t have a shot without IU’s opening. Which is a shame. And then there were no other candidates outside of Wade and Keatts. Which tells you something, and it isn’t good. Yes, IU is a better job than ours, clearly. But it isn’t what it once was. And not are we.
