I’m thrilled it won’t be Hull. He’s been pretty tough on us this season.
I’d take last night’s crew again. Believe it or not, I confess that I believe Luckie would call fouls on Duke π … confession bear.
wufpup76KeymasterHear, hear
wufpup76KeymasterAlways a blue. Duke is a really tough match-up for us this season. We can do it, but it’s going to be tough.
Alas, Duke is royalty and as such should beware the Ides of March.
wufpup76KeymasterThis seems like something that would happen with N.C. State:
wufpup76Keymasterwufpup76Keymaster^Thanks for sharing your stories.
Gottfried’s genuine emotion after the game is just awesome.
My girlfriend has never been more than a casual sports fan and doesn’t understand my rabid-ness while following N.C. State either hahaha. But that will change π
Some of us who are a little older do probably take for granted the good times of the past since it’s been so long since we’ve had a championship of any kind. I had ’83 and ’87, others had those plus ’74 and more. Hard to believe it’s been almost 30 years since an ACC title. While it may not mean as much as it once did, it is more than time to change that fact and give the younger generation of fans something to hang their hat on π
wufpup76Keymaster“Friday was a very good day for NC State … ”
*nx lost, we beat Cuse.
Denny’s Grand Slam specials for everyone!

03/15/2014 at 12:22 AM in reply to: #7 NC STATE vs #2 SYRACUSE Preview (ACC Tournament Edition) #46405wufpup76KeymasterI think we have to put Le Nard on Parker, and play him heavy minutes.
This, too. My thinking with Des is to limit his perimeter looks and mitigate drives, then contain him in the post.
03/15/2014 at 12:18 AM in reply to: #7 NC STATE vs #2 SYRACUSE Preview (ACC Tournament Edition) #46403wufpup76KeymasterSo who gets to guard Parker?
^I’d honestly stick Des on him and immediately double any of his post-ups.
Limit their transition, limit their easy looks, rebound the ball, make them execute half court offense and hit contested jumpers that are not in flow of the offense. Easier said than done, for sure.
It’d be nice to be able to attack them in transition and get some foul calls, but who am I kidding with that? When’s the last time anyone won a ref battle with Duke? π
wufpup76KeymasterGood comeback by Clemson, just a little short
wufpup76KeymasterClemson within 3 – wow!
wufpup76KeymasterI know it’s poor sportsmanship, but I gotta do it
wufpup76KeymasterIs it all about the RPI? It would be hard to believe though that a team that beat Pitt, Cuse and Duke down the stretch doesnβt get in. That is some serious work.
Agree that it’s not all about rpi, more about scheduling and quality wins. We’ve got some tough losses, but good scheduling is helping our profile enough right now to help us get into the conversation.
I agree that a win over Duke would all but do it … At least it would give us a reason to be nervous on Sunday evening.
wufpup76KeymasterWeβre basically in 7th position on the out list. Would a win over Duke move us up 7 spots?
^Sucks to be so dependent on what happens across the country, but let’s take a look:
Minnesota lost and cannot help themselves anymore – they look to be out.
Providence can seal the deal tomorrow in the Big East final, but may need to win anyway as a win over Seton Hall helped them little.
Xavier is losing to Creighton in the 2nd half.
We’ve got a long way to go.
wufpup76KeymasterRoper is taking this game over. Wow
wufpup76KeymasterRoper with a 4-point play (potentially).
That’s like a 10-0 run for Clemson.

Pure awesomeness.
03/14/2014 at 9:55 PM in reply to: #7 NC STATE vs #2 SYRACUSE Preview (ACC Tournament Edition) #46358wufpup76KeymasterIβm torn in this game. I know Duke is the better resume win, but we can surely beat Clemson, which puts us in the finals against UVA or Pitt, both very beatable.
^Agree. Beating Duke may actually squeak us in should we lose on Sunday … Clemson *may* be an easier path, but wouldn’t do anything for bubble consideration.
Either way, I’m really happy to be playing on Saturday.

It has been an uncommonly good day in Packland.

DENIED.
En route to Denny’s.

Would that be two Dookies not willing to give us props? Imagine that!
^Haha – it was actually a Dookie and a Hokie, as it was Seth Greenberg – not Seth Davis.
They were making valid points about Syracuse not taking advantage of opportunities, but just wanted to hear about how we won rather than how Cuse blew it. π
