Agreeing with a lot of what I’ve read, and hoping we keep playing well. I think turner is the key personally, if he has even a decent game I think we win it. If he struggles again it will be a battle. It makes me nervous playing a good team that we beat earlier who has a HOF coach. A la Duke in the acc tourney. Hope we learned from it. Can’t wait for Friday, Go Pack!
wolfpackwinsParticipantI was one of the people who believed the article last night was in poor taste, but this is almost worse to me. What makes it stupid in my opinion is that the article divided the fan base after a huge win. It was a perfect opportunity to rally all the Wolfpack fans but instead directed a joke at coach smith. Insulting the people who make the site successful (in this case, the fans) is a pretty bad move in my opinion. I love coming to this site, it offers the best analysis and a truthful outlook on our sports programs. But you should know when to give up a losing battle. If it was made as a reference to an old self directed joke, then include that for context. I look forward to moving on past this, hopefully everyone can learn from mistakes that were made.
And most importantly, I hope we smash BC on Saturday. That looks like it has ncss written all over it.

Has Dean Smith’s pact with the devil expired? #75819wolfpackwinsParticipantWhether or not Dean Smith was heavily involved in the cheating is irrelevant to me. He’s passed on now, and we should leave him out of insults if we really claim to be so much classier than unc fans. If you want to be perceived as better, then acting better is a good place to start. Reminds me of when Tyler Lewis was taunted at Cameron just days after his grandmother passed away. Count me in as one of those who find this post in extremely poor taste. Minimizes what was a huge win for us, too. Hope this post gets edited.
Go Wolfpack!
wolfpackwinsParticipantHave fun in Minnesotaaaaaaaaaaa
wolfpackwinsParticipantNot sure if it’s news or not, but Buzz Williams to va tech.
wolfpackwinsParticipant^13. While you have been watching pack bb much longer than I have, I think your statements are a little dramatic. Does our coaching staff have weaknesses? God,yes. But they can’t make kids hit free throws, you just have to make sure they practice them (which I’m almost certain gott does). Fact is college basketball is a different sport now, 15 point leads get blown all the time. It’s still gut wrenching for me that we are the only 12 seed not in the round of 32, but I would rather watch this team again and again than watch last year’s team. Our lack of defense is disheartening at times, and is by far my biggest complaint of our coaching staff. But his staff is still the best since I’ve had the pleasure (and pain) of being an avid NCSU fan (granted only since 05, so my view is somewhat limited).
I’ll love the Wolfpack win or lose, I just always prefer we win.
wolfpackwinsParticipantThe one thing that concerns me the most is that we are now a trendy pick for an upset. I fear our players hearing this and getting overconfident before the game even tips. I hope Gott does a good job telling the guys to keep the foot on the throat, no matter how much better we think we are.
wolfpackwinsParticipantAwesome team play tonight, especially Lewis running point. I hope we carry that into the next game. Everyone contributed in their own way.
wolfpackwinsParticipantLooking for a big game for Warren and some intensity on the glass. I think we escape with a win against a team we catch on a downswing. Go Pack!!!
