Well, you have to have a dumpster full of..uh…stuff…then set it a blaze.
Honor the process…
Mark can stay and Coach in Raleigh as long as he wants so long as Yow is charge. No one would take the job…she’s fine to work for, just looked at Sweaty Gary wrong and is now blacklisted.vtpackfanParticipantOfficials are Jamie Lucky, Brian Kersey, and some poor third who thinks things are legit.
vtpackfanParticipant-
I could see us winning this game if Lennard goes on a window washing spree and JV protects the rim.
When TJ is our best rebounder and our big men are tallying more personals than blocks it’s just a miracle to be in the game.
vtpackfanParticipantI’m not as interested in who Texas as I am the dominoes that fall afterward.
FSU and Louisville would attract another BCS HC, while Baylor and Vandy might have to look outside the box some.
It also seems possible, if not likely, that one or more College coaches go to the NFL.
vtpackfanParticipantIn a pick up game at the Y Buckets would score his teams first 9 in a game to 11.
Better have a closer.
vtpackfanParticipantOverall the Lee,Cat and Buckets unit provides us maximum potential. Ralston is our only 3 point shooter but the intangibles that Lee brings more to the table.
vtpackfanParticipantEvery minute you can you play Cat you better do that as a HC. Tyler Lewis could earn back a minute at a time if he could hit a three or, God foresake, deflect a basketball. His whole game has turned into hide my weakness while Cat is like a basketball psychopath out there who will do whatever it takes.
vtpackfanParticipantAnd Buckets was 1-7 from deep and got the line once. He was putting stick backs in for his points, just like last year. He is not a ” put the ball in my hands and I’ll take care of the rest” type player.
Transition points and opportunistic points. That’s what he is really good at-end of it right there.
This team really rests on Cat’s shoulders and tonight drives that point home. If he’s not completely on then we aren’t we will finish right with the Hokies in the ACC dungeon.
vtpackfanParticipantI’m not really in the blame game. More big picture, enjoy it while you can cause we’re the Wolfpack and shit always happens.
This does have all the markings of “the season took a turn that night”. About the only thing we can fall back on is that it’s a young group that doesn’t have any head cases.
vtpackfanParticipantAt what point can the people realize “The U” is done. This is not the great storied program on its way back to the top.
It didn’t take too much reading between the lines to see how closely linked the Miami steroid clinic and that program was.
How much money has A-Rod charitably given to that program over the years? What else was he helping with and why have they barely edged out schools like Virginia Tech since investigations into PED use gotten serious?
vtpackfanParticipantWe’ve got Rafeal Palmiero’s son, Preston, at first base. A JuCo transfer looks like the bat in the middle of lineup to replace Senay. Both bat from the left side which is good since only one returning player could (Austin).
Speaking of Brett-we’ve got two catchers that can compete to give him some rest. His performence at the plate took a nose dive the last month due to catching so many innings. I would think that Rodon is so good that he doesn’t need to have a top flight battery mate to be effective. If I remember right Danny Canela caught for him his freshman campaign.
Here’s hoping Jake Fincher has a breakout year.
vtpackfanParticipantOn paper the match up looks even with us vs. Mizzou. They have one more quality win (and no loses) than us. They have played more games against vastly inferior teams (SOS reflects that).
This is the Tigers first true road game. We should beat them by atleast 3 based on that and the fact Haith IS NOT a good in game coach.
The one wild card is their Senior transfer Wing, Earnest Ross out of Cary (Panther Creek). Historically the homecoming boys go for double their career high against us.
vtpackfanParticipantBest bench at State for I don’t know how long.
Replacing almost all scoring and minutes with a team that gets solid contributions from 8-9 players each time out is amazing.
PG position goes for 12 assists and one turn over. Block brigade/ shot alteration brigade continues.
Turner is now settling into a palatable two great:one bonehead ratio player. The nice thing is that as a coach you have the pick of him or Lee each time out. Games overlap a little, but for the most part are distinguishable. Whichever fits the best plays the most ( provided fouls aren’t a determination) for that particular game.
So, so much fun watching these guys. Fearless, energetic and hard working sums up my thoughts. As a dire hard fan you can’t help but appreciate a version of your team like that no matter what the names on the back of the jerseys read.
vtpackfanParticipantGreat basketball once the lousy start got flushed out. A lot of points scored with Warren leading the way and w/o.
vtpackfanParticipantLebo showing why Roy never used his TO’s. So hard to keep track of.
vtpackfanParticipantPlaying Turner all this half is a joke. Lee hurt?
vtpackfanParticipantCat should just take this one over. Buckets just needs to crash the boards and stop this wanna be Ralston Turner act.
BBall acumen wins this one. A finish strong finish here is a must EZU is worn out.
vtpackfanParticipantAwful energy by the Pack to start this one.
Awful.
vtpackfanParticipantLook for a plethora of whistles. TL probably gets more minutes than one would usually like- perhaps because Richmond just jacks threes will help him some on D.
If V is going to be more then a shot blocker- glue guy- it needs to show up today. A 7 footer in this offense should have a field day against a ECU team that practically gives away 2 Pt Fg in order to get the ball back.
Regardless the spectators should enjoy a track meet.
vtpackfanParticipantI like the Defensive identity shaping with this team. A healthy amount of ball pressure by the guards and protecting the rim. We are fighting through screens and communicating better on them. Not perfect but no one is ( that’s the reason everyone uses picks).
We will need to give consistent effort and stay sharp on that end of the floor to be anywhere in the top half of the league. It’s TJ and scoring by committee so the offensive output will not be anything to lean on. I’m glad Gott and Coach Lutz have them working the right mindset in order to maximize our chances.
vtpackfanParticipantOur bigs are making big strides. We are still a work in progress in the half court and defending the dribble drive.
But I feel real good about our lineup. They play so hard and with a ton of heart.
vtpackfanParticipantIt’s games like this that I appreciate our offense. When a team is off from 3 and just keep shooting them then you’ve got no chance.
vtpackfanParticipantSeriously WTF guys.
vtpackfanParticipantHoly shit make a FT.
vtpackfanParticipantWatching Anya & Washington this much is painful.
