I would not have an issue with 7-5. Hoping for more of cou8rse but back to back seasons that are well above the mean for the Pack would mean a lot.

His choice of course and if he were to choose to leave I bid him well. The thing is current is the TN post better than what he has? Granted they can toss more money and if that is the driving force he would go if offered. On the other hand he has taken our program from 0 to at least being respectable with the chance of more.

BP is right with the fun of watching a Foulup type of coaching search.

So has this become Crack Ride II? Best record in decades and many want all the coaching staff fired.

I think a good year – could have been awsome with a couple more wins. To me the real question is what happens next season – if a program building model the Pack moves forward a bit, if not back to the mean.

Lifespan for a ball carrier in the NFL averages 5 years. I don’t think Hines will be much different. Quality guy, strong will, talent but in the end it will come down to injuries. Is his frame the cause? Not likely.

Like it or not the best regular season record in decades. I also do think the real tell will be next year with replacing those seniors. If that is done the Pack is on the way to establishing a program. If not not there yet.

The difference between KK and Gott – when the offense is not there you have defense.

Chop some are so filled with hatred for the current staff if we won a natty they would still say “but …”. I agree there are strengths and weaknesses but I’m good so far.

Chop I agree totally. Having watched many TV productions the script goes – play up the underdog early, Then in the second half play up the power of the overlord. Sad for them is the game never really met their comments. The Pack was ALWAYS right there in the game. In the second half there was all sorts of comments about AZ taking over the game with their absolute power. Maybe AZ was sleeping a bit but I will say the Pack was right there always. Poise, big plays and AZ got really frustrated with a team who they considered not their equal standing toe to toe. Great game to watch win or lose but the Pack simply played better in this game.

Maybe this will finally kill the Miller bromance some have.

Two things I observed – Zona has a really good team and tonight the Pack was a little better. Maybe a difference in focus, maybe the Pack is stronger than even we expected. I didn’t see any Pack player that had a bad game, no pouting, no whining just focus. Less talent maybe but I’m not so sure. For one game an excellent display.

As I see it we have two options – continue to build the program or fold the tent. Are we where I would hope? No. Are we improving? Yes. Are we inconsistent players and coaches? Yes. Since we don’t have Texas money we have to build not buy if we want any sort of football program.

I agree with you on UNC. It is a rivalry game and things do happen. The second part of your post I have issues with. For good or bad we do not have Texas or Alabama money so we will no pay for the best money can buy. If that means DD must go then we simply fold up the football program.

Rye my only question is who would be a reasonable candidate as HC. If we have U Texas money and now with at least some national attention there might be someone else. I will say starting from -50 we are now maybe +10 or so. That means progress. And I think we simply must toss out the old dogmas – Wake has improved greatly the Pack also. I was not surprised the game came down being so close.

The high wind is here but I doubt we see any rain during the game.

I just checked the forecast. Rain probably after midnight but yes high wind. Same forecast as at home (a few miles to the NW). I agree the wildcat used in the amount used the last few games is probably not a good idea.

Strikes me as two evenly matched teams based on stats. I have not looked at schedules or the like.

Gott lived and died by the one and done. In both cases the rewards can be great or really bad. I think I like where KK is going but the next couple years might be a struggle.

Not because of the game but I flaked out mid first half. I will be watching the replay. As I posted earlier I expected some rough games (and by extension some rough stretches). The good thing is the half time adjustments and the fact the team didn’t go into a funk.

What I want to see is effort – players and coaching staff. Along the way I’m hoping we win most of the games we should and possibly steal a couple. So far I see the effort (maybe not 100% but much better). KK gets time to set his program as long as I see some progress. I think any other course of action by a fan is not the right way to go. Now if at the end of the year (or even at the end of the second year) I don’t see signs of that hustle and improvement I might change my mind.

I expect some ugly games this year as we really don’t have all the personnel ti fit the system. It also remains to be seen if Keats can adjust to ACC level play. I think in time that can happen but will it is the question. So far I see a lot of things to like.
