I like Bonner (nick named Boo Boo years ago for his odd personality and the horse grin). What he said was true dribble and heave was not the way to win. As it turned out tempo control which meant going deep into the shot clock then making a solid offensive move was.
Like Paki I thought Cat marked his territory quite well. What he did not do is go on a property wrecking binge like we have seen some others do.

Agreed there are some things for the staff and players to work on but really? But really?To be honest Towe was a throw in to get Thompson. He was at best a journeyman and at worst only a way to increase the odds of signing Thompson.

I agree with BJD. The team is much improved under Gott but at the same time the ACC has gotten much tougher. Gott has been a step forward from that horrid past of Lowe and whatshisname. That is good but continued improvement is required.
Unless the refs have a replay view of that flagrant foul situation than I saw on TV I think they missed the call.

Va that is why I have no real beef with the way things were done. For me (who is not a recruiting geek either) I can be quite happy with either choice. Once again I say well done here.

In the day basketball also meant playing some defense. We can debate UVa’s approach but we cannot debate the discipline and the final result. I like watching UVa play.I thought run with the Beast. Two reasons the first being he has proved to be able to make those tough yards. The second to bleed more clock. Today I see Carroll says he called the pass. Maybe and glad he has not burned the OC in the post game publicity. Darn good game.
Not sure I can say the staff is as good as any in the league. I like the staff, I see some progress but in the end it comes down to wins and losses – on that measure not quite there.
