Today all in for the red and white and I was too the good 🙂

Not a terrible arena and for today’s big time college basketball actually one of the better arenas when considering everything in total. Access, parking, the arena itself, the need at the time of building for funding help and the like. An on campus arena (with the proper access, parking and such was always my personal preference but at the time the palace was built that simply could not happen. As chop says if ranking the challenges for the basketball program this would barely make the list.
tractor57ParticipantLike VA my second favorite team :). Hell I even pulled for ND against the smurfs. Other than that not sure yet.

The seats were uncomfortable even for a college student and the facilities were totally subpar. So the choices were to gut and rebuild, raze and start over or move on. On campus parking sucked even in the 1970’s. As a student who lived on campus that was never an issue for me but I promise you today I would not be a regular guest at Reynolds for games.tractor57ParticipantThe only time a #1 seed lost in the first round. State vs Maryland, State was the #1 seed Maryland was #8. Oh and that team was coached by V. I would have to do some research for the exact year but it was in the 1980’s.
tractor57ParticipantBill,
I have been a member of an on line antique tractor group for 20 years or so. Based in Winston-Salem (which is of no consequence other than I have met the man who provides the iron to make it all work) but with members worldwide. Lots of real engineer types plus a lot of FATGS (fat assed tractor guys) who are quite adept at creative solutions. A couple there run vegetable farming operations that might might be of interest to you. If you have the time and the interest send me a PM and I’ll provide you with the link.
My garden is rather small as I’m growing for one. Mostly summer crops like tomatoes, cukes, summer squash green beans and such (plus the very healthy deer population here). I do grow some spring stuff like beets, lettuce, radish and greens. Then those again in the fall.
tractor57ParticipantOnce again VA does the in the weeds stuff. Nice!

One former player thinks so. #101252tractor57ParticipantAs much as I LOVED the atmosphere in Reynolds even in the late ’70’s it was aged out. Not sure the PNC was the right move but it is what it is for now. Next go maybe an on campus arena – an on campus solution might be the best idea for a future arena but that is probably decades away at the closest. Reynolds (even before the makeovers) had already out lived its life span for college men’s basketball for NC State. As a venue for the women’s program maybe the right size with the latest remake. I’m glad there is a use for the hallowed ground rather than razing the building.
tractor57Participant^ This would also be my concern. Minus the injuries I’m all for more playing time but given the injuries I’m not so sure.
tractor57ParticipantWould that be Dino? I know not of Dina. Maybe Dino’s twin sister?

tractor57Participant^ I hardly think one could characterize the former women’s BB coach or the former football coaches as good. As to the former wrestling coach others know much more than I. Like it or not Gott was a step forward. Sufficient? On that we shall see.
A few of us remember when Duke was bloody awful – Maryland went through the same. We have as well. Are we where I think we should be? No. Are better? I would say yes. Enough? Not.
tractor57ParticipantFor this election cycle my one decision so far is no Bush and no Clinton. Doesn’t leave much unfortunately.

Even K has backed off a bit on a defensive focus. Not a fan of no defense but I can understand the trend.
tractor57ParticipantAnother reason Henderson would be of little help this season:
http://gopack.com/news/2016/2/25/freeman-update.aspx?platform=hootsuitetractor57ParticipantThis is one match up Roy really gets worked up about. That I think is a good thing as I get worked up also. I have no idea what the future holds for the Pack or for Roy Wonderboy but hoping for a spirited game from our team.
tractor57Participantyou know what assume means I hope. Maybe your scenario is right or maybe not. Either way it is what it is.
tractor57ParticipantRick we agree on the substance. Life is a series of decisions. After the fact we can trace the chain but in the midst it simply happens for better or worse. I have absolutely no hard feelings.
BJD there as well I see.
tractor57ParticipantGiven a grant in aid is only for one year (renewable of course at the schools option) can we really fault an athlete for making a choice that we as fans don’t like?
The loss of Lacey surely hurt but it changed some things – one being Rowan signing. Equal trade? In time we will see. Regardless it was his call and if he thought leaving was a better way I hope that decision serves him well.tractor57ParticipantMaybe a win would indeed do that. Right now my concern is moving out of the Les Robinson play in games.
tractor57Participant“No one said he was a fool. The open question is he a good-enough coach.”
Va I agree. The question is that simply. I’m willing to give one more year.
tractor57ParticipantSometimes you are the windshield, sometimes the bug
