Reading this morning I found it to be very funny and I’m not offended at all. Just could not party all night like a rock star.
tractor57ParticipantI dropped off before the various “dick” posts here. Glad someone had pissing contest (mine is good BTW) but at my age simply can’t party all night like I used to.
tractor57Participant5-0 not a bad showing so far.
tractor57ParticipantGuess he got his education at the dump on the hump.
tractor57ParticipantOf course in the past they may have encouraged the conduct that they now find so bad. Agreed it was time to come clean but I’m not giving them a pass just yet …
tractor57ParticipantA Dinky reference – the son of a coworker knew Dinky and always said he was wronged by V. I have no information pro or con on that but it does reveal the “harsh” side of college athletics.
tractor57ParticipantOnce players are given a 4 year ride (exceptions for some things) …
tractor57ParticipantI think both Abu and Anya were right to explore the chances. For them the chance to get unbiased opinions as to their standing re the NBA with the changing of the rules regarding declaring fit right in with their needs.

Valid concerns but as mentioned the college game has changed greatly in the last decade. Can Gott scramble enough to deal with that change? That we will see.
tractor57ParticipantSFN is bipolar. College recruiting is also bipolar. Maybe Gott is bipolar as well 🙂
tractor57ParticipantI support Abu in finding his worth. In my view there is a lot of talent and skill but not polished enough for the NBA – few are as we know. If he does return maybe he now has an independent voice on what he needs to improve.
tractor57ParticipantI’ll buy that the transfers are an issue that upsets up the norm. However as long as coaches can use the “waver wire” to dump players they don’t like for whatever reason I’m simply not seeing the problem.
tractor57ParticipantI think most of us hoped Lowe would do well but were holding our breath. In some ways he “took one for the team” like Les did years ago. In other ways he was totally unprepared. Got has been a better choice than Sid but I still have some reservations. Better is good but is this much better good enough? I think not but I’m not quite ready to go through another coach search.
tractor57ParticipantI’m sorry but I don’t see that at all. Maybe true but I can’t tell from this article. We know he has a young daughter to provide for and that he lost a very close friend to violence. Cat made his decision for whatever reasons. Personal circumstances, issues with coaches or teammates possible as well.
I’m betting it was providing for his future and for his daughter more than anything else.tractor57ParticipantMr P word was that Yow have that kind of relationship with Calvin. I would hope the AD (or any AD) would be willing to have those discussions. Maybe those would not change the direction but a good AD should be in the loop. Granted the relationship between Yow and Gott is closer than that of a lot of coaches and AD’s – or at least started that way.
tractor57ParticipantCat deserves that look. The others know they are not quite there yet. There is potential but work to do. Hopefully Cat can claw to a good team for him.
tractor57ParticipantUntil grants in aid are good for multiple years I do not object to the “heat check”. Doubtful Anya will get and invite but he may. I see issues all around.
tractor57ParticipantYes that part we do know.
tractor57ParticipantGiven this is from a presser by the accused I’ll wait a bit before deciding they will not suffer serious harm. Maybe they will not or maybe they will but we won’t known until after the next basketball season in my opinion.
tractor57ParticipantOut of state – maybe in KY and NY? 🙂
tractor57ParticipantI have no issue with Cat regarding this. As a freshman maybe but we know that was a trying time. As should happen in a college career he developed and matured.
tractor57ParticipantI’m quite happy with winning the series – wished there was a sweep but not to be. I have enjoyed watching the game via ESPN3 but no mas for me.
tractor57ParticipantIt been a great game to watch regardless of the score.
tractor57Participant11-7 Tech top of the 8th
