The ones I mentioned are in the town of Lewisville (on US421 just out of Winston-Salem headed toward Boone). Enough traffic the two at the ramps stay pretty busy and the third – next intersection toward town needed something although maybe not a stop light. Even several years people have not really adjusted to the idea that the main road does not have priority but it is getting better. In years past there have been a few here and there around here but most were eventually replaced when traffic flow increased. In Lewisville they are the right answer at this traffic level. In 20 years maybe not so much.

In the proper setting (not Hillsborough street) they work quite well. The problem is they are usually not installed until the level of traffic greatly exceeds what can be reasonably handled. In a town near here they have solved some huge problems but the level of traffic is much more reasonable for them. In that case they were the right idea.

I remember the day when Edwards Grocery was an actual grocery store.

Until I see the QBs perform in a Pack uniform there are unproven. Maybe they are world beaters (I hope so) or maybe not but I haven’t seen enough to say yea or nay.

13OT or it could mean a golden opportunity. Win these and you are in the national discussion. Will that happen? I think not but maybe.

I would prefer having an established QB but that is not where we are – at least from the fan view.

It is coach D’s year make or break.

It is those “associated” things that are troublesome to me. Not so much the reduced early voting hours as here they were a waste for the most part so adjustments to the number made sense. The poll locations, open hours (other than reduced days) and such were no doubt an attempt to sway elections. The machine tampering is one reason our county went to op scan ballots – there you do have a hard copy record of the ballot.

With all respect I have found over the years most polls are rigged. I’m sincerely hoping yours are not but I also will not participate in any poll given my history with them. Double edged sword I admit. Not calling you out just stating my issue with any polling.
A complex issue and all sides should be aired – that is my issue with HB2 – passed in haste, obvious “errors” (as in doing the masters bidding?). I have the same issues with the Charlotte ordinance.
The women in my life are against HB2 – on the grand scale means little other than all views should be explored before legislation is past.

I can see one potential issue. My mom is in a nursing home, no photo ID and not likely to get another. That said she is given the option to ask for an absentee ballot – photo ID not required but her signature on the absentee ballot must be witnessed. She is of sound mind if not sound body.

Personally I do not see the issue with showing who you are to vote. I do see an issue if that is used to skew the electorate (my maternal grandfather was not allowed to vote decades ago on the literacy test). These days very few do not have a photo ID. Some of the other actions that were ancillary bother me more – like moving polling places to inconvince this group or that.

I think ALL people who are citizens and have registered should be allowed to vote – once.

True story – some years ago I had some vocal chord surgery. When the saga started the surgeon was a he and by the time the surgery happened he was a she. I suspect she never had a birth cert changed to reflect the new plumbing. So which bathroom should she use?

All good but think of the logistics getting visiting teams to Greenville. I hope they can find a power conference home but there are significant challenges.

How does HB2 add any legal protection in that case? I would say the same for the Charlotte ordinance that started this whole saga. If HB2 really made a difference (and if the Charlotte ordinance did as well) that would be one thing but I simply don’t see that.

I read the legislation. Some of the hidden things have now been corrected but the core issue remains. While I do not want pervs in women’s bathrooms I think this legislation is a huge over reach.

If done right this would be a great help but to the officials and to the teams.

Don’t get me wrong I’m excited about the possibilities. Just that I have seen this tune before. First step accomplished with the new recruits and should lead to a good second step but I’m not calling for a tourney championship yet.

Point for the younger crowd – never get too low or too high. I am excited with the additions but I have not seen any of them in a full ACC level BB game. So consider that as well as consider the ledge jumping ..

I also am pulling for Coastal. Good team, played well and semi local but I need to call my cousin (an alum) and give him crap just because 🙂

I moved near to tiggetown in 1979 and as such saw the evolution of the facilities there. Spent some time on campus and with the local fanbase. Some shady things happened and some of those were completely out of the control of the admin. Others were an issue with athletics admin. I suspect such happens in all major programs. I will say a game day at tiggertown is an event – we are a long way behind there. I have no information on Daba other than what we all see on TV. He strikes me as a good if not great coach. We might be saying the same about coach D in a few years or he might be tossed to the trash heap.
