I have to agree with BJD. The ACC is totally dead to me, and no longer exists as far as I am concerned. It is total corruption under the head cheater, swofford. As much as I dislike Maryland, they at least had the guts to give swoff and this conference the finger and leave.
I seem to recall reading somewhere that he was getting offers from LSU, FSU and Ol’ Miss among others. This is a great job by the staff to get such a highly rated in state player. Welcome young man!
Gott said he “didn’t hear it”, not that the ref didn’t say it. Yow asked him about it but he said he did not hear it and I think that is totally possible. If two (or was it three) independent media types reported that they heard it, I believe them. There is no reason for them to make that up.
It’s a good thing that wasn’t said to Bobby Knight. They would still be treating that ref at the emergency room. I give coach Gottfried a lot of credit for keeping his cool. I would have not been so controlled.
I’m glad to know it was actually a media person who heard and reported this so a bunch of idiots can’t accuse anyone here of making it up. (some may still do it , I know but they are idiots and always will be idiots) This has to become widespread news and this has got to bring a firestorm of heat on this ref and the acc office. How can this be overlooked and tolerated by the conference HQ and if it is –then their bias and crookedness is totally exposed to anyone not blind. How can anyone say we should stop complaining and take it because it doesn’t do any good? If you never stand up and demand a stop to this crap you get exactly what you deserve…more of the same. State and other schools have to band together and demand and force swoff out of his cushy job and force wholesale changes or else just leave and form another conference.
I think it is a possibility that the ACC did secretely “eject” Hess and the other refs did not like it and were indeed trying to protest that action. At the same time, it still comes across as an insult to NCSU. They realize that action would not have been taken without the prompt and forceful complaints that I am sure came from D. Yow and others and don’t like that either.. The little group of officials are upset that a light has been put on them exposing their ineptitude and bias but this just might, MAYBE? work in State’s favor. They may try to call the games fairly in an effort to show how unbiased they are and prove their critics wrong.
Man, I just came in and saw this topic. All I can say is that DY (if not already) should be on the phone or directly in Swofffords face over this. This a direct F*U* to State by these bush league officials. Too late to not take the floor like a previous poster but I damn sure would raise hell publicly about this crap! If these garbage is allowed then you can bet your life we are going to be playing 5 against 8 and screwed over every chance during this tournament by the refs.Maybe our team should come out with a tape on one side of their shoes with FKH and on the other FJS
