“I think projections on what we’ve seen thus far are worth very little”

I misspoke, or mistyped, and there’s no edit function.

I meant to convey projections at this point in the season are worth much less than other seasons due to all the new components.

I think projections on what we’ve seen thus far are worth very little, other than to form a potential projected curve. Due to all the new components, NC State is far from a finished product. Much more so than most.

Barring a shockingly extreme performance (good or bad) through the first half of the ACC season, a 2nd half push (or flop) probably determines our NCAA fate.

From looking at the schedule, 5-4 or 4-5 is probably a rational, objective, expected baseline half way through conference play.

Then it’s on, with the second half starting with Miami and Wake, before heading to Syracuse. My way too early and little informed projection has that game as our touchstone.

Oops. Oh no, no edit function.

What I meant to type is: If it’s Powerade that’s insisting on it, F’ em.

    What Alpha said.

I do have one question. What’s up with the damn (almost) carolina blue powerade water coolers we’ve had all year? Who’s the moron allowing that to go on? If it’s Power are insisting on it, F’ em.

That Warren kid might turn out to be pretty good if he could just learn to score.

“I haven’t seen Tyler Lewis look like he is taking command of the team at any point.”

Some can lead from the bench, others gotta play.

I can understand Tyler’s feelings, actually, I would think less of him if he wasn’t some kind of disappointed/upset. The public airing of those feelings however, is a big no no.

But reality is reality. Barber is simply better.

You only get 4 years of playing college ball and the clock is ticking. We understand, Tyler, but this one has already started, so cowboy up and make the best of 2013/2014. You’re a talent and we hope you stay, but sincere best wishes if transferring and more playing time is what you determine is best for you after this season.

You get a pass, this time. All bets are off if there’s a next time.

Whoa. That was waaay too positive. You need to put more in there for the negative nancys to bitch about. You know, something to show Gottfried is in over his head, can’t build a team, doesn’t know defense…. something like that.

And if we are voting on the Wolfpack’s entries to the best dunks in ACC history, I can remember one from 1983 that should probably get a mention.

“Wilson played three years before transferring. Brissett has mostly rode the bench. Not a good comparison.”

Speaking of Wilson… How’d that kind of thinking work out for Matt Flynn in Seattle?

“I just see more downside than upside by making this annoucement now.”

Hogwash. Think for a minute… before applying standard cookie cutter orthodoxy. This isn’t your standard open competition situation.

If you know water is wet, but your coaches are telling you they still aren’t sure, how do you feel about your coaches? About their knowledge of water? About their ability to get you too it?

Besides, every athlete worth a damn knows that stating a starting position has been won doesn’t mean the competition is over. Every position won can also be lost.

Their percieved dominance has “saved” the SEC more than once. Weeden’s Cowboys would’ve beaten Alabama 2 years ago.

SEC defenses have been dominant because they’ve played against mundane offenses and poor QBs. Not so much when they added a couple of decent Big 12 teams with modern offenses and good QBs.

Yep. Mizzou and TA&M are good, but how would they do if they had to play an SEC schedule? Oh, wait…

Unrelated, just heard on the radio NC State just received it’s largest ever donation. $50 million from the Park Foundation.

I want my piece of that pie too.
