Coach Rat retires…
Though I’m no Duke fan, I fear an ACC w/o Coach Rat hurts us all. Unlike Roy, I have buku respect for both Coach K and Mike Krzyzewski. I may often dislike Coach K, but he has my respect.
tjfoose1ParticipantCUZ will be back in Raleigh next season…
as one of the TEAM leaders on a TEAM with something to prove…Huh?… So you know something we don’t? Or are you just getting back from Colorado?
tjfoose1ParticipantAre Ovies and Glenn related, maybe old classmates or something? He did spend time in Miami, after all. Though it manifests itself differently in each tool, there’s a strong similarity to their “I’m the smartest man in the room” smugness.
tjfoose1ParticipantWe know that every time we win, John Swofford dies a little inside
I disagree. I think he likes it. It’s the wins that keep us invested, causing the afflictions after games such as last night. If we lost more often, we could all divest. But no, ah no, they can’t just let us be.
tjfoose1ParticipantSilver? You sure that ain’t mercury?
tjfoose1ParticipantPowerade is in on it too.
tjfoose1ParticipantGiven what Clougherty has openly admitted, one has to wonder what he hasn’t.
tjfoose1ParticipantThis particular picture is from the Mizzou game, but they are there every game.
tjfoose1Participanttjfoose1ParticipantAnd I still have not received and explanation for our hideous u*nc blue Powerade water coolers. Why? Why does a NC State team have 2 huge water coolers with their rival school’s colors directly behind the team bench? Why? Somebody explain this to me.
I am boycotting Powerade until this changes! And yes, I am sure they care.
tjfoose1ParticipantFor those who think the refs should not be ‘blamed’ for the game’s outcome due to the mistakes made by NC State’s players and coaches, I submit that if State had NOT made many of those referenced mistakes, the game still would have been ‘managed’ to the same end result.
Some of you need to attend, if you can, such a game, up close. Just sit back and watch what happens off the ball. I’m not talking about missed calls due to the action of the game, or the officials being out of position. That happens, I understand. Many of those happened last night, on both sides. Vandy got away with 2 or 3 blatant one himself (though not consequential).
But watch what happens directly in front of the full view of an official, just feet away. Directly in his line of sight. Then compare that to the head scratching phantom calls, or calls made by an official racing across court to call a foul that he was no where close to be in a position to see, let alone call.
It’s shameful.
tjfoose1ParticipantTo make yourselves feel a little better, the below is blowing up across the interwebs. For those who have yet to see it.
The below is not a mock up (I actually thought it was when I first saw it). It is the actual cover.
tjfoose1ParticipantOk, so some say it balances out. Ok, fair enough.
Let’s count how many times NC State has benefited this century from such a pivotal call in the closing seconds of a game. I understand memory is selective, so help me out.
1. ???
On the other hand, calls that probably cost NC State the game. I come up with these instantly, with no thought
1. ACC tourney vs u*nc. The no call on the Marshall charge.
2. Syracuse this year
3. Last night.
4. The Duke debacle at few years ago after having a 30 or so point lead.I know there’s more, but I wanted to only list the ones that came INSTANTLY to mind.
tjfoose1ParticipantI’ve heard some talking about how young NC State is, and how that bodes very well for the future. True, to a point, at least for some players and aspects of the team game. But unless TJ bypassed million$ to be be an active player on the NC State roster next year, do you all really think a huge team improvement is guaranteed?
tjfoose1ParticipantHaven’t read any of the above, don’t plan to. I saw it, already know it, and don’t have to stomach to read the comments of those with their @#$! up the rear of the officials.
To add, perhaps, something different from what has already been posted:
I was at the game. For perspective of my view, see the picture I took below of the evil cabal. That’s exactly the spot of the Warren “TO”. But what was even worse, in my opinion (though not as blatant, but with a bigger overall impact of the game), was the obvious moving picks, hip checks, elbows, knees and holds that went on off the ball, THE ENTIRE GAME. Almost as if they’re a legal part of the game built into Roy’s tactics and strategy.
I lost count on how many times I saw an NC State player moving on defense, off the ball, only to be knocked back or off balance, by an elbow/hip/or knee of a moving pick. Not called, not once.
Absolutely pathetic.

Lighten up Francis. It was a joke.
Considering your first, and only 3 three replies in the entire forum are those directly above, you might want to reconsider the prudence of jumping right in with no perspective on context or history. But hey, who needs wisdom when you have spirit.
Hmm… Will he, or won’t he?

tjfoose1ParticipantI hate to say it, but I have to think of “what might have been.”
Don’t do it. Wouldn’t matter. Marshall doesn’t have this to deal with at Wichita.
tjfoose1Participant^ or reading “Goodnight Moon” to them at bedtime.
You sure that wasn’t Chicken Little?
tjfoose1Participantdistractingly unsatisfying.
tjfoose1ParticipantI love you man.
tjfoose1ParticipantAs for next season, I have high hopes for both Lewis and Washington as team leaders. If only we had an Alex Johnson and/or CJ Williams every season.
Trevor Lacy? What kind of leadership did he show at Alabama?
tjfoose1ParticipantIt’s hilarious that you essentially agree with me, but still want to nitpick everything I say..
Dude, I simply wrote “Not very good <> suck” for clarification, and point out you were not addressing the quote of Rick’s you included in your post. That was it.
You responded with a 6+ paragraph diatribe, enumerating responses to statements I never made.
But whatev. Have fun. I got things to do.
Can’t you all just feel the love in the coming spring air. Ahh… refreshingly fresh, it is.
tjfoose1ParticipantThe decoder battery must be dead, ‘foose.
“Political CARRY OVER.”Oops. Yes, you are correct. Apologies sir.
