tjfoose1Participant
The below is based ONLY on what I saw Saturday.
My take is a little different on Brissett. Yes, he has an arm and did well in the short game – pre snap and quick reads. Overall, he looked good. A huge improvement over last year, but that’s not really saying much.
However, I thought he struggled with progressive reads. That’s especially concerning since our D was in a vanilla nickel for practically the entire day.
Hard to judge his running, but he’s not particularly elusive. He’ll be more of a quick read and hit the hole runner than a dance and scramble type.
He throws a nice long ball, but the accuracy needs work. He hit a few in perfect stride, but missed more very badly.
But it’s only spring.
Bo Hines did impress. Tough player, nice hands. He’s in the mix for a starting slot.
Nothing really stood out on D. The freshman DB has talent, but also a lot to learn. I noticed the same problem as last year. No playmakers.
But it’s only spring.
tjfoose1ParticipantArian Foster is severely damaged goods
And Andre isn’t?
tjfoose1ParticipantNever really saw Wojo as the head man type. I see Collins with the highest upside. If I were betting, my money would be on him for the best run of that group.
tjfoose1ParticipantDrWuffette1day,
Now Im offended at your lack of sarcasm acknowledgement and your weak attempt at the same. It was pretty lame.
Btw, CD is an adopted NY yankee.
tjfoose1ParticipantWBS has nothing to do with race or even a vague reference to skin color. WBS = Wee Baby Seamus, a character on ‘Archer’.
tjfoose1ParticipantAs someone with Irish heritage, who to I go to about the obviously offensive and stereotyping use of “Fighting Irish” by Notre Dame?
And about all these St Patrick’s Day drunkfests… somebody owes me an apology!
tjfoose1ParticipantOh wait. Chris Matthews, is that you?
tjfoose1ParticipantI find that offensive to all other nicknames.
tjfoose1Participantmr.wolf,
As a male whose name is often preceded by “Mr.” in formal writings, I am offended by your use of the lower case “m” in “mr.wolf”. It is undenialably sexist and obviously meant to demean the male sex. Please drop the use of the username and replace it with something less offensive to those of us who are ultra sensitive to such things. Just because it is befitting of yourself does not mean the rest of us forfeit our right to be offended.
Also, my dog just told me he’s offended with your uses of “wolf”, and your decision to use a lower case “w”. He suggested something a little more befitting of your projected online persona, such as a word reflective of the feline persuasion.
tjfoose1ParticipantNo excuse. If they missed a single FG, missed a single FT, missed a single blockout, or committed a single TO, they forfeit the right to complain or protest.
Coaches and fans just need to bend over and take it. It’s their own damn fault for not being perfect.
Only the officials are permitted to be unapologetically fallible. If they havec a horrendous game so bad Iit hints of corruption, it’s the fault of the offended for not doing enough to prepare and overcome.
I know so because Ive read it here numerous times.
tjfoose1ParticipantWhat doesn’t require speculation, is the fact that we won’t be as good a team without Tyler Lewis and Rodney Purvis.
Wrong. Speculation is EXACTLY what that is. We all get you hate Gott (and from the tone of your posts for the last 6 months or so, life in general). But being a hater doesn’t give you the right to make up your own facts.
tjfoose1ParticipantHey btownwolfpack,
Hypersensitive much? A subscriber to the logic of the billiards scene in
Boomerang?Hmmmm… but then again, the team does seem to always lose when in the black jerseys. Ha, there you go, the whole damn team is racist.
tjfoose1ParticipantThat’s not gonna make the Calipari haters happy.
tjfoose1ParticipantThe Coach K comparisons above are asinine, regardless of your position.
The failure of one doesn’t justify the failure of another. That stated, Mercer is a good, strong veteren team that came into the tourney strong and on a mission, having accomplished the first step by winnin their conference tournament.
Assuming Mercer 2014 is a pushover shows even more of your ignorance.
Mercer is not a team that limped into the tournament losing 4 of 5, a team with their star point guard gimpy, with a double digit deficit with 3 minutes to go.
tjfoose1Participant“Last night I saw a coach who had no idea what to do.”
Yep, but what was even more damning was that the players saw that too. That fed the beast. It’s a different outcome if coach could have at least faked it.
tjfoose1ParticipantWhat’s the name of the offense when one guy dribbles around and the other 4 just stand still?
tjfoose1ParticipantTJ has been lazy, stupid, foolish on defense down the stretch.
tjfoose1ParticipantWhy is TJ standing still on offense?
tjfoose1ParticipantWe were up 13 with under 4 minutes left.
tjfoose1ParticipantWhy weren’t Lewis and Barber in there together sooner?
tjfoose1ParticipantDefense and feee throws. Pathetic.
tjfoose1ParticipantYep. Happy for their coach. He’s earned some spotlight time.
tjfoose1Participant“After watching Central’s season they turned out to be a decent team.”
After the Central loss, somebody made the point that the loss was not a surprise. With the coach and returning players, Central was a good team and the loss was not a bad loss.
That same person was castigated by several posters here, in a u*nc-syracuse obnoxious arrogant kind of way.
Two letters for you. F U

Here you go. You know who you are. 🙂
