Such things are done for a multitude of reasons. I’d say so far it’s a success. It got the kids excited and got you curmudgeons (takes one to know one) talking ‘Pack football in May after going winless in conference for the first time in forever.

Agree or disagree, right or wrong – I guarantee that helmet gets the Wolfpack in positive considerations and conversations from which it would have otherwise been excluded.

PS: bah humbug and get off my lawn.

Like it or not, at least it’s modern and stylish, done with contemporary style. For a second there I thought I had stumbled onto the wrong fan site (was Annabelle on vacation?), but then I saw the bitch, whine, moan, and repeat and knew I was at the right place..

    399. But I get a bonus 50 for being ornery stubborn, half way to curmudgeon. -100 if I bump into a cutie that distracts and throws me off my game.

Cowboy fans who point the finger of blame at Romo are like the NC State fans who bitched about about Wilson in 2010, wishing he’d leave or be benched so Glennon could play.

As ego-idiotic as Jones is, he’d have another 2 Lombardi trophies without his bromance crush on TO and his ego chasing away Parcells. Ole Jerry thought Parcells had put all the pieces together (he was right), but Mr dumbsh#@$ ego wanted all the credit when the rings came.

Cowboys will never win with JJ as their owner. He’s the worst possible type of owner. His incompetence and stubborn could be overcome, if they weren’t ruled by a Texas sized ego that’s all hat and no cattle.

I saw a bird in a tree today, and it was not chirping the NC State fight song. Obviously another telling sign of the Wolfpack’s basketball woes.

What does it matter, ’44? Gott is such a bad coach he wouldn’t have been able to do anything with him anyway. From the way you tell it, Gott couldn’t win with the original Dream Team roster.

All this means is we won’t be hearing you bitch and moan about Gott’s misuse of Graham next year.

    Alpha,

Just curious. Area football coach… what level? Experience? What kind?

    Point?… I’d weigh thought’s of Coach K a little more valuable than Quinton J’s.

A coach with the earned cache to have value in such words would likely not express them.

Those ready to pass judgment on Doeren at this point are doing a good job of expressing both ignorance and foolishness.

Don’t sweat it folks. By the time any schedule changes made now take effect, college football will be an afterthought on your list of interests and concerns.

Maybe he just got a little too excited about the season (10th) premier of Deadliest Catch, and he thought this would count as an audition for a greenhorn position on the Time Bandit?

I think we’ll be just north of suck, with a potential all goes right ceiling of slightly above average.

Regardless of Ws and Ls, Ill be surprised and disappointed if we are not markedly better on the field. Team and individuals.

Dammmit CD, did you forget where you are? Enough with the reason and logic. Don’t care how long Yow and Coach D have been here, this is all their fault even if it is 10 years in the making!

Tough times, but I wouldn’t say ‘sad’. I knew them both their last two years at State. This does not surprise me. IMHO, they’re both better off. Thankfully, no kids are involved.

Even though it’s based on his rookie contract, Ashton won’t exactly be hurting financially.

Thanks, but that doesn’t exactly make me feel better. 🙂

My uninformed and from a distance opinion has been that Mr Holliday has probably buffed and shined many a dent and ding, not unlike another Mr Holliday in Wolfpack sports past.

Never been an Avent, or anti-Avent guy, given my limited, average fan, baseball knowledge. But wow… I’ve always questioned some of his decisions and philosophies, but I’m not a coach, so I just shut up do the fan thing.

I’ve heard for years from those who know him that he’s not exactly the brightest bulb in the box. But as long as he knows baseball, I never saw it as a major issue.

This year… well, talent vs record speaks volumes. Sometimes you need to know more than your sport to manage rosters, players, people, and teams. Sometimes greater stakes put a brighter shine on deficiencies. I haven’t seen too many games this year, but they’ve stirred up more than their share of ‘wtf is he thinking?’ moments.

He got a contract extension last year, correct?

These are comments from a baseball layman. Those in the know, please make me feel better. Please?

ESPN still at their ‘best’. I pointed this out about a year or so ago. They simply don not care.

Since when has SEC athletics, or all of NCAA basketball for that matter, been about class?

Class? Kinda like expecting a virtuous politician.

Nothing behind Brissett on the depth chart. Unless we have a stud showing up in the fall, an injury to JB ends the season.
