tjfoose1Participant
I’ve read it [the officer’s account] and I think anyone who is truly objective will agree that it sounds fishy, possibly coached (particularly the part about the kid l reaching in his waistband).
Oops. Too bad the evidence and the witnesses corroborated the officer’s account.
I guess somebody needs to explain to these Uncle Tom witnesses the true meaning of ‘justice’ or they’ll be lumped in with the likes of Condi Rice, Clarence Thomas, Ben Carson, and Tim Scott.
It’s about agenda, you big dummies. Truth ain’t got nothing to with it. Give the good reverend Al Sharpton a call, or Michael Eric Dyson, they’ll explain it to you.
“Truly objective” my ass. “The kid” reference was a nice touch though. “Robbery suspect”, and later provenb to be the perpetrator) would have been more appropriate under the circumstances.
tjfoose1ParticipantSo far, so good, IMO. I like where we’re headed. I recognize it’s easy to be pointed in the right direction from whence DD started. The path gets more narrow as we progress. Time will tell.
tjfoose1ParticipantFree throws, at least in NC State’s case, ain’t something you can fix with practice. As referenced above, it’s a head case thing. For this fix, we need more of a psychotherapist than a coach. But then, psychotherapist is part of the coaching job description. Gott needs to come up with a fix of perspective and attitude, not one of grind-and-repeat.
tjfoose1ParticipantNot that I notices such things, but Shreveport has several c a s inos.
tjfoose1Participant^ and you’re ready to make that call 4 games into a season in which 1st year players and 2nd year players (at least 2 of which have transformed their game) account for almost every meaningful minute of playing time?
How many pity parties do you attend annually?

I know no more than the average fan when it comes to the sport of basketball, but I suspect Hofsta proves to be a bit more through the course of the season.
Our starters – as a unit – played terrible last night
Yep, however, reading between the lines of comments Gott made in pregame, I think the plan going in acknowledged the chasm of talent disparity. I think the priority of the game was to get the younger players an abundance of quality minutes on the court OVER execution refinement.
Just a hunch based on my coach speak interpreter.
tjfoose1ParticipantNot so Statefans.
I realize you won’t be convinced, so we’ll just have to have a gentlemen’s disagreement. It happened. He did say it. My entire suite did not have a mass hallucination. Neither did the friends and classmates that discussed it in the following days.
There’s a lot of things that happened in the 80’s that can’t be found on video today.
tjfoose1ParticipantHe said it. I saw and heard it. I remember instantly thinking it would become infamous.
tjfoose1Participantlmao. just like we would be a contender over there too right since we beat the almighty Georgia Southern.
Well, the dim-witted are easily amused.
By using that dumb ass transitive analysis, Ga Tech isn’t a legit contender.
This site certainly goes through its fair share of idiocy stages.
tjfoose1ParticipantAct like asses if you want, but the point of the post was to show that Ga Southern is not the cupcake many of the ignorant claimed they were.
The point of the post was not to claim Ga Southern is a legit top 25 team. A team can be good (not a cupcake) and not be a top 25 team at the same time. Yet ignorance is defended with more ignorance.
Ga Southern would be a legit contender in the ACC Coastal.
To claim Ga Southern is 1AA displays one level of technical ignorance. To claim it doesn’t matter is a whole ‘nother level.
It’s why my visits here have become less frequent. The arrogance is one thing, the ignorance another, but the combo of the two in the same post is a totally different animal.
tjfoose1ParticipantI was angry when leaving the Clemson game in which we couldn’t even line up on sides.
I was angry when leaving the Wake Forest game in WS the week before the Ohio State game. The game in which our dumbass OC would send out 4 and 5 receivers but none deeper than 12 yards. That is until we got down by 3 or 4 TDs. This with some kid named Philip Rivers at QB.
I was angry when leaving Dowdy Ficklen in what turned out to be MOC’s last game. That timeout fiasco at the end of the game was enough by itself, but unfortunately, there was plenty more.
It’s not often, but obvious dumbass coaching causes me to leave angry on occassion.
tjfoose1ParticipantYouth and talent, a roster is being amassed. The corner is coming, and it’ll be a sharp turn.
tjfoose1ParticipantAnyone still foolish enough to think that State can hold GT to 24 pts?
Who thought that?
tjfoose1ParticipantI’m just going to go out on a limb here and say Samuels needs the ball more.
I agree, a little more at least, but his rushes are situational and thus, the avg ypr are somewhat inflated if you are trying to project results with more rushes. A diminishing returns thing.
tjfoose1ParticipantGT’s offensive strength will be matched with our defensive Achilles heel
Those of you expressing this sentiment, please elaborate. It’s not that simple. Football is a game of matchups, not just unit vs unit, but player vs player and scheme vs scheme. I actually think our defense matches up better against a GT type offense than any regular set offense. I think the match up is better for this game than it was for ODU.
What might be liabilities or weaknesses against one offense might be a strength against another.
D Wright, for example, especially the way he’s playing now AND the position that he plays, should be a strong asset for the Wolfpack this weekend. But if we were playing Duke or TAMU, I think he could be a vulnerability that the opponent would try to exploit.
I’m not saying you are wrong, I just want to understand the reasoning.
I’m no help. From what Ive seen thus far, depending upon game plan and tackling, I wouldn’t be surprised if we held them in the 17 to 24 point range or if they put up 56 on the board.
tjfoose1ParticipantWin small, lose big.
tjfoose1ParticipantI’m taking full credit for that extra nudge that pulled out the victory. First conference win in how many games
and you saw it called here first.Yes, I told you so. Told you I had it down to a science.
tjfoose1ParticipantDid he just jump out of the way and not block anyone?
tjfoose1ParticipantTold you boys, don’t sweat it. Just a matter of how.
tjfoose1ParticipantAnd I got on my NC State red that everyone assumes is UGA red with the cocktail party in town.
We’re almost playing at the college level.
tjfoose1ParticipantI have it down to a science. Win small, lose big.
tjfoose1ParticipantPM is a converted WR. He remembers how to catch and run.
tjfoose1ParticipantI told y’all not to sweat it. I got it covered with my $1 bet.
tjfoose1ParticipantDrinking in Cary with Cowdog and Wuf.
Sounds like a colorful grouping. I’d ask to join if in town.
tjfoose1ParticipantA few others requested the game, so have to be either State or ‘Cuse fans. Any of you down here?
