    That’s better.

The player id is happy, but the coaching ego is not.

    That was unimpressive.

Regardless of ending, lots of work to do this week given a game that started 28-0. Looking like a microcosm of the season.

How many times must a lesson be learned? Youth, whadda gonna do?

    Good job D.

Ok JB. Long 5+ min drive. Slow and steady. End this right.

    Please?

JB needs another realigmnent, then we good again.

What that means, I don’t know.

    Ply,

The plays were there for easy scores. JB missed. Ugh.

Shouldn’t be difficult to find short range accuracy. It’s not a rare ability.

New kicker at next try, If there is one.

Need D to pick us up.

Ok. Seen enough. End of rope reached.

    Time for kicker tryouts.

Though the hold on that one looked a little suspect. Need to see replay.

    Either way, tryouts open.

    Haters gonna hate.

Wake adjusted, we didn’t, no need to.

Canada has nothing to do with the errant throws or the drop ball down the sidelines.

    Or even the missed FG.

Canada isn’t an issue, today. The plays are there to be made.

Somebody tell the idiot announcers that Rivers was the QB in 2001 that won in W-S.

Fox needs to fire whoever is directing this broadcast.

You don’t conduct multiple questioned sideline interviews during gameplay you dumbsh!ts!

That’s at least 2 now that’s taken at least 3 plays of coverage away from the broadcast.

They’re making the ACC production crew look good, and that’s no small feat.

Thanks Wuf’. Then I’m guessing Grinnage still ain’t right, health wise, especially given Cook’s work at TE.

Either that, or he’s in the dog house.

Jacoby looking much better today. Looks like the coaches have emphasize the downfield passing. Hit several, even on one of the misses, deep down left sideline to Trowell, was perfectly thrown. Just went right through Trowell’s arms.

Need the deep ball ti be a respected threat to make the offense go.

Zero points 2nd qtr, but I’m liking what I see thus far in the passing game.

Rosboro making a mark. New deep threat in Trowell, finally hitting Hines deep.

Would be nice for the LB crew to log a notch in the lawmaking column. It’s been a while.

Any news on Grinnage? I haven’t seen him, but then, Im not watching too closely as Im recovering from a bit of Friday night festivities.

Hey Fox, hate to interrupt, but there’s a game being played on the field.

Dayes again! 3 carries, 144 yds.

Where was this team the past 2 games? Ready to play and crisp execution. THIS is what we were expecting.

    Down field passing game, check.

    DL being a factor, check.

Matt Dayes back on track, check.

    Hakim Jones, check.

Hines finally making a mark, check.

All good and we haven’t even used Samuels yet.

At what point does the “NC State hasn’t won in Winston-Salem since 2001? talk impact the team?

It doesn’t. This ain’t baseball and these are college aged football players. That x2 for the kids from the last two classes.

At least half those losses in WS were because the players, and sometimes coaches, were looking past WF. One I put solely on Noel Mazzone, who Philip almost bailed out after giving his new OC a figurative “FU” after Wake jumped out to a 25 point lead.

Grinnage has been playing with an injury. Not sure it can account for all the drop off, but it’s played a role.

That’s a good summary, CD. I was surprised Boone didn’t get more reps in Blacksburg when he came in for Pratt w Josh Jones still at SS. He seemed to settle things down. My VT friend who I went up with asked about McKeever himself. I told him I didn’t know what was up with him this year. Still don’t. Stevens has been a nice surprise after replacing Tocho after, game 2, I think it was. I had thought it a tactic at the time, and maybe it was, just to get Tocho refocused. I wonder if Tocho knows of Wally Pipp.

I had thoughts after VT that maybe Canada could be added to such a list. You know I’m a big fan, but he’s been a tad predictable lately. But he gets a pass and the benefit of the doubt from me, for now, for some of the other names on that list might be more of a restricting function of the ills than the play calling.

Still hoping you’re right. I’m hopefully optimistic, but guardedly concerned. The BYE week couldn’t have come at a better time. Show me something, boys.
