Rain for the third straight day, 57 degrees. Foliar disease coming!

    I was thinking the same.

Dammut, Mr. Grey! This is Pack 9, solomente! Comprende?

That said. What the Pack 9 could use are a few more 2 sporters showing up in Raleigh.

Yes, I know. RW pretty much waxed that.

So much to comment on…but I am not in the football mode, as yet. Not in the baseball mode, either. Still pissed at pissin’ it away.

However, Doeren fired an OC, and hired another. The fact the other had a QB that wanted out of his then situation, does not, in any fashion, resemble falling into one’s lap.
Rather, it was some damned pretty work.

    Back to ESPN3 for tonight.
    Piedmonte to get the bump.
Hopefully he can keep those UK righties at bay.
Rain a factor. Game pushed back til 8.

Nice to see Deathredge slap that 3 bagger.

Brownie should ignore the dugout with UK’s righthanders.

I would love to see some statistics on our performance vs. temperature. It sure seems to me that our team is a hot weather team. That would help explain the BC series. And before anyone jumps on me about anecdotal evidence, that’s why I said “I would love to see some statistics”.

4in12. There’s nothing wrong with the weather hypotheses, at all.
However, what I think the more likely is the constant lineup juggling done in the first half of ACC play, when it should be rather settled by the end of March.

Hah, Ply, you rascal. Yes, it is an oddity, a rarity in the scope of things. Indeed, the 4 homer game is much more scarce in the diamond annals, but hitting for the cycle is a blast.

Turner stole home the other night, but the thing that I find intriguing, if you will, the dude is capable of breaking the career record for hitting the cycle.

He has just enough pop to go yard at any given moment, and the speed to turn a double into a 3 bagger….essentially, the albatross, and the next thing ya know…

Career record is 3. He has 1 already.

My tree has us beating Louisville, on a dry day…Or in a hurricane…Nothing tweener.

Belief is its own reality. Whether that’s belief in your coaches, your teammies, or yourself, it’s the last wall to bust to win on a regular basis.

The wall has chips and cracks, and a breach here and there.

Can they bring an entire section down this coming fall?
    Sure they can.

Mr.Bill…Why are the tomatoes blooming already? Did they get stressed?

I don’t like to see blooms until they’re at least 3′ tall.
‘Course all I grow anymore are Indeterminates.
I still have about 2 dozen pepper plants in pots. Timing is everything.

Cukes are flowering, though and the mini-Duke gardens that I started for the boss is looking strong. (Muy importante, hermanos)

That just tells us that sans Clemson, the rest of the programs didn’t exactly live up to what they had on board.
    Right?

You didn’t say that. Someone else did. I know what YOU said. Apology accepted,or a simple “Oh…nevermind”, will suffice.

No prob, Mr Grey. You’re here for a reason. Besides, I just joined in when someone decided to call our receivers small and slow…a take I couldn’t leave standing.

COW either way we will still have the same problem. I don’t see how we are better this coming season, when very little will have changed. I say this every year, in the major sports, “I hope I am wrong and we are better than I think we will be.” Most years I am disappointed.

Fair enough. Y’all just don’t be callin’ out the wideouts. That’s my job.
    😉

I was the one who said they don’t get separation. I watched every game this past season with a former ACC safety and NFL player. He was very clear in pointing out for a defense how easy the offense is to defend. Even rewinding plays to show the receiver struggling. Therefore I stick to my point. Are the receivers big and fast sure, but they aren’t being taught how to run routes smoothly or how to use their bodies to help them. They have the physical skills, but not the fundamentals to go with those skills. Whether it is because our QB cannot throw the ball well down the field or the OC not calling the right plays our offense is easy to predict. Run play, or pass to the back are options one and two. Option three and four is either an out pattern or curl pattern by the WR, normally 10 to 12 yards. This allows the safeties to come up because they aren’t worried about much else than those options. But I guess he doesn’t know what he is talking about either.

That is a far cry from saying our receivers don’t get good separation.

    2016 Yrds.Per Catch:
    Louis-19.4
    Harmon-17.1
    Trowell-16.6

…And yes…Finley did have spells of overthrowing the deeper routes, particularly the seams, when we caught safties cheating up.

We do not have size or speed at wide out

Ramos, Louis and Meyers are 6’2. Harmon is 6’3. Riley is 6’4. Hines is a track star. What kind of size and speed are you looking for?

Former teammate, Don Buckey, and I talked about Harmon over the Spring game weekend. It is our opinion that Harmon is the real deal.

    Cherry pickin’ time.
Whomever said that these receivers can’t find separation is living in the not so near past, and certainly has not scoped Harmon, Louis, Trowell, and Hines like one should before offering such an opinion. Oh…I forgot the return of Ramos.

Then, there is the unknown in knee injury, redshirt freshman, CJ Riley. I’m a wideout kinda guy, and we have some good ones.

Chops…What I presented to you guys had nothing to do about his ability to coach at this level.

I was only lettng y’all know that he had become a liability here…at NC State.

Well, not so much, really. He has a propensity to wear himself out. Maybe that’s what I’m getting at.

Yes, boys, and I will reiterate that he was about to set the entire NCHSAA on conflagration mode. His kid screwed up, and Canada’s ego couldn’t leave it alone.

    He’s been bouncing around a bit…No?
It isn’t about his scheming an offense.
