10/14/2017 at 11:37 AM in reply to: What Did Columbus Actually Say When Approaching Pittsburgh? #125098TheCOWDOGModeratorFull sails. Crow’s nest on high alert.
TheCOWDOGModeratorI really picked a bad day to catch another episode of the Vietnam series.
Nothing has changed…metaphorically.
TheCOWDOGModeratorCD are you imploring me to calm my t!ts? I have rights you know!
Phux, no AT. Rights is rights. Just my take. Kinda like how I wanna tell ya that your impersonation of someone else calling football related peeps, SOBs… Indirect implications, man.
TheCOWDOGModerator“Queen for a Day” That’s right up there with Art Linkletter in shows I watched with my mom as a midget, Yogi.
And Mac, I’ve had your cover from day one. Much truth.
TheCOWDOGModeratorAin’t gonna happen right away. Chill is in order.
TheCOWDOGModeratorOften a critic of some of the amateurish ways of NCSU, I have a bit of a reveal. (Close your eyes Mac.)
I went AWOL in the days leading up to Louisville…No obligatory, game post; etc. I had a couple of close friends from my Ca. days that pulled into Cary on their 44th day of Ken Kesey type, trans-country tour. Now, this couple happen to really like sports, and they appreciate visiting venues, as such.
On the 47th day, I took them to tour what State had to offer, with my daughter joining us. I had been looking for a good reason to scope out the new Reynolds. Honestly, I hadn’t been there because I dreaded that despite reports, I would merely be underwhelmed. Let me say that my buddy Jimmy makes Mac look like Ghandi…get it?
So…We walk through the doors, and low and behold, I am initially impressed. Bright and shiney, bold yet understated, The Hall of Fame grabs ya first. Just beyond the hall, open doors display an even brighter, shinier, court. My friends are actually quite impressed.
We wandered, studied, and commented on all that was offered and gradually, the little devils of “it ain’t quite right” started whispering in my ear.My daughter must have picked up on this as she had separated herself to a display labled “Hall of Champions.” She was messing around with this big screen and broke out this giggle. “You guys need to come over here,” she says. We did. She’d found her Pops big as can be, on the interactive display.
Hah. I knew State had to be capable of somthing first class.
We went to Doak and on to C-F, and the Murphy Center.(Pops is in there, too. Hee hee.) Also in there, this day, was our much maligned Comm Director, Annabelle Myers. No harm in trying, so I walked up, introduced myself…former player…guests in town…
“Would you deem it possible to escort us to concourse so that my friends might get the real feel of the stadium?”
She, of course, said she could not. However, without batting an eye, she said, “Follow me.”
With that, she busted open the doors to the expansive and luxurious, weight room. I’d been inside it before, but forgot that the back wall was pretty much all glass, overlooking the stadium. Awrite Annabelle…Well done.Bottom line here, is that in spite of years worth of seeing less than getting it right, I got flipped…For at least a day.
TheCOWDOGModeratorCatholic boy says, “Dominus vobiscum.”
TheCOWDOGModeratorMan…I just like watching ’em compete and play football. Competent, football, while competing. Novel.
What’s that called in literature?

This quantifies as a good win, no matter the
meaning of good.09/30/2017 at 2:17 PM in reply to: It Ain’t A Train Yet, But The Engine Looks Good…Combo Game Blog. Seriously, Who Uses That Nomer? #124475TheCOWDOGModeratorJust when ya think ya got a kicker…geez.
Long way to go, but Pack is playing very efficient football.
TheCOWDOGModeratorOh the irony. Has anyone heard a single player say they are protesting the flag and anthem?
TheCOWDOGModerator“…to kneel is an act of submission.”
Well…not exactly. In the world of sport it is generally known as something one does when messages are being put forth. It is what I’d long ago brought up as an alternative to sitting.
TheCOWDOGModeratorI stand with the Kaepernickers, just to be clear.
TheCOWDOGModeratorThe viewing of games hasn’t been this fun in a long time.

Truth. After they dug up the East side, the magnetic energy changed. We should work on it.TheCOWDOGModeratorLast year, I waited until late December due to Matthew. Let ’em filter out and regain saltwater.
Word is Stump Point salties are gonna be prime…if we get a pass from Jose, Maria, and Lee.
Truth is, Columbia Oysters are my go to.
TheCOWDOGModeratorMay I add that you just can’t go around throwing win margins for so many reasons.
Sh#t, with the conference schedule on the loom, comfortable would be enough, if I had the reins.
TheCOWDOGModeratorJesushchristinasidecar, AT. Don’t you understand that, that doesn’t even enter my mind. But you’ve been part of this little section for as long as I…so I’ll answer.
WTF do you think I’d think!
TheCOWDOGModeratorChops. That is the most sentient point of criticism in this whole damned follow up. Mostly, because it encapsulates the very mantra that is the cornerstone in my personal(And quite frankly any player or coach that’s ever been the part of excellence,) take on belief.
Now, they’ve come as close as a hubber-in-a horeshoe-pit against some really good teams, but no ringer…YET.
One loss in a new season is not gonna get the white towel from me.
TheCOWDOGModeratorYes, Paki. Bitch til the cows come home, when DD punts from the opponent 39.
TheCOWDOGModeratorI don’t think the score was at all misleading, and it’s nice to see P44, back.
Marshall has more than a handful of good, castoff athletes. Anybody mention that they were pitched a shutout for the entire second half?
Look. There are glaring, unresolved issues with the foot in football, no doubt.
I have no idea what jack nuts speak of regarding play calls out of this game…seriously.
TheCOWDOGModeratorOnce you get to the stage…the belief comes from your head coach, first.
