Oh yeah that was probably just the Rev. William Barber. Don’t worry he’s harmless.
Prior to the UNC-G game, we had 2 losses: 1 to a top-25 team in Tennessee, and another to a Northern Iowa team that sits atop the MVC, has 3 losses, 2 of which were Villanova and UNC. And we’ve beaten 2 top 35 teams in Arizona and Penn St. AZ is only going to move up in the polls as they’ve finally getting healthy.
Now that we’ve played several games in this new style there is adequate game film on how KK adapted his style to this team. Don’t be surprised if, as another poster put it, we have seen our peak for this season.
Don’t want to hear EXCUSE about not having Markel causes us to become less of a team than Robert Morris. As an ACC school we should be able to plug in the walk ons and beat Robert Morris.
I especially don’t want to hear the EXCUSE that we have a team full of role players which is why we trailed most of the game against RM. ACC role players should absolutely dominate against a team like Robert Morris.
Again, we are an ACC school with ACC caliber players losing for most of the game against Robert Morris, on our own home court, after losing to UNCG a few days ago on our own home court.
That’s should raise some eyebrows. That’s all I’m saying.
Here’s some perspective. Folks, to remind you, we were playing against Robert Morris Colonials. And I don’t want to hear one word about how competitive they may be in the NEC this year. They suck. They lost this year to a team by the name of “Grand Canyon” I sh!t you not. They are not good. There is NO excuse any ACC team should have for trailing 4/5 of the game against them, especially coming off a loss to Greensboro commuter college last week. Nobody on this thread is expecting KK to win championships, but coming out flat after a loss makes you doesn’t instill much confidence, now does it?
So forgive those who may be having some initial concerns.

I’m afraid you maybe correct. KK is slowly losing my confidence in this hire. We may not win a game in ACC play.
Yeah, I feel ya. Still his 1st year and our starting PG is suspended for some behavioral issues. It’s a long basketball season but right now it’s really uninspiring.

CD, I haven’t come to know you as blowing smoke.. Sun Bowl is one of 41 bowls. That’s a lotta bowls, my man. I mean, I guess it’s better than the Dollar General Bowl, but is it really more “meaningful”? Not in my opinion.
Ahhh yes the coveted Sun Bowl.. The belle of the ball. The pinnacle of human achievement. A modern day Superbowl, if you will.
But yeah.. there’s not a big difference between a 6 win season and an 8 win season now is there?
At least recruiting appears to be bouncing. Dave’s got a few more years to learn on the job, and hopefully we’ll be setup to have a more talented version of this years team at some point in the future along with a more seasoned coach to legitimately give us a chance at winning some hardware.

That was hard to watch. Hopefully turns into one of those blessings in disguise that it occurred with so many medical personal already on the scene rather than when the young man was by himself or something.

Well if true then we’re in the same predicament. Yow not going to be around much longer either. I just don’t see a coaching search for us going swimmingly.
The circumstances in this case don’t lend itself to be a better situation than where you currently are as a coach except pay.
and better resources, and more money for your staff, and tradition and prestige, and easier recruiting.

Interesting. I have no evidence and haven’t researched into it more than just what I’ve heard/read. Probably should dig into more than that before spouting off things as vile as that about another person as fact. Thanks for the info.

Objectively speaking I’ll never believe NC State would be able to lure a coach over Tennessee. I think that’s wishful thinking.. maybe a little NC State fan biasness going on there. At the end of the day the SEC is the destination, not the ACC. Big boys want to play against other big boys and get paid like a big boy.
What makes this really amusing though is the Vols fans thought they were getting Lane Kiffin and now may just end up with 15-25 ACC record Dave Doeren. Brings a grin to my face let me tell ya what.
Vols fans hate him already and he’s not even coached a practice snap!
