Everyone on the team can benefit tremendously by learning to take a charge.
I’ve seen way to many times this year one of our defenders be in front of the guy driving to the basket in perfect position to set his feet but instead we try to run off beside of him while getting absolutely torched.
It’s plagued us all year, and it appears for all intents and purposes, there’s no plans to address it this year.

I’m thrilled about the wins over Duke and UNC, but at the end of the day Duke doesn’t play defense and UNC is having a down year. Overachieving halfway through the first year doesn’t make one worthy of being distinguished next to the likes of Jimmy V. And you can file that under “things that shouldn’t need to be said.”
Anyways, going in another direction, I wouldn’t be surprised if the loss last night had something to do with a little bit of looking ahead on the schedule.

Hell yeah shutout would be superb. But what I’m sayins is there is a theme I’m seeing in our games which is apparent frequent miscommunication on defense leading to wide open layups. If we can fix that and we WILL be a handful.

I did not realize UNC-G has such a strong RPI, so that loss isnāt as bad as I thought when I first posted about it. Bottom line, we have one more loss and the worst loss.
I’ll have to disagree with you there about that point being the “bottom line”, especially seeing as your original post doesn’t even try to balance your point about losses with the fact that we have more wins against top #10/top #25 than the team in question. AND we BEAT them on their own court.
Someone else posted a thread similar to this a week or so ago and I believe it got zero responses. Guess some folks rather not admit Yow is doing a friggin awesome job and we’re lucky to have her.
