DSJ isn’t the problem. DSJ having no rules applied to him is probably about 40-50% of the problem, or at least the most obvious manifestation of the problem.
100% accurate. It’s obvious the game plans developed by the coaches have been to let DSJ go out and win the game. It’s really nothing new. That game plan was the same for sophomore TJ Warren, and it worked out a little better for him (likely due to the additional year of experience and playing in a much weaker ACC than this season) as he managed to bubble their way into the tourney.
DSJ is out there trying to execute the game plan.
My big concern is the Admin – for decades they have shown little interest in having a quality MBB program.
I think it can’t be denied the current administration wants a quality MBB program far more than any other time in decades. She easily could have rested on Gott’s laurels of 66% NCAA tourney appearances and 33% sweet 16 appearances. But she didn’t. She’s clearly tuned in and understands the direction of the program was headed towards the side of a mountain.

Also, where did the rumors of coaches knickers often coming down originate? Posters here now I guess are just running with that like it’s proven fact.

wtf are the rumblings? these “i heard such and such rumour” and then talking around them honestly aren’t worth the time it takes to read them without context.
On another note the best part of the Archie comments are that he did NOT slam the door on us.

I go one by one…the talent ain’t superb. Abu and BJ ain’t going to the NBA. Y7 is not D1. Dorn and Henderson are complimentary players. Mav is solid but not a star. I’m not defending coach I’m just looking at reality. We thought we had talent, but it’s just not there yet.
well, i’ll say this.. there’s enough talent to not have 3 wins in conference in the middle of February

Gott’s responsible for getting the talent and for coaching it. He’s failed. All that’s left is negotiating the buyout.
