    What a circus! Clowns abound!

If Goofball leaves we’ll be the ones holding the bag of excrement. Tennessee can’t even get Brohm to leave.. and now their best candidate is DD?! Imagining who we end up with is frightening.

I saw this coming a mile a way though. I knew if DD even sniffed a whif of success he’d jump right off our stepping stone asses at the drop of a hat.

It’s also remarkable to see such widely divergent hairstyles being targeted in the same search.

This is a quality top notch observation, my dude!

No reason at all to be surprised that “Thin Skin” Dave would take any opportunity to use NC State as a stepping stone. Apparently scuttle butt is that he is Tennessee #1 target at this time. He’ll be loathed by the fans there.

Based on that USA Today article the dude’s got one foot out the door already it seems. It’s not surprising. Never got the feeling he gave one fVck about loyalty to NC State, and I spoke freely about him as such. I’ll never stoop to blind loyalty to a coach who questions the passion and desire to win of North Carolina State University fans. My observation of his 5 years has been that he is more petulant than I am… and yall know that saying something!

edit: oh and I 100% agree with other posters that IF he goes to Tenn he’ll be run right out of there in real short order. But mark my words, he’s going if he gets an offer.

I think he’s gone if he does get an offer. He’s losing a ton of seniors and talent from this year setting up a letdown year next season. He’s never really struck me as “liking” NC State or the fans either.

It was a good season. A good record put up by a good team. Beat the hell out of my expectations I can tell yall that. We’re not a great team either though and that’s reflected as well.

My concern is next year expectations from most (maybe not so much the folks on this board) will be to build off of this year, but in actuality we are going to be losing a lot of seniors off the roster. I’ve not looked at potential cross section of next years team, but wouldn’t be surprised to see us take a step back.

What I’ll be keeping an eye on is to see if this decent season gives us a bounce in recruiting. We NEED that to happen to take the next step in the coming years. Dave should get a pass for a drop off next season so long as recruiting side of the equation looks promising.

Yes we won. To me, the win feels like more of a relief than celebration. We easily played the stupidest, worst football of the entire year yesterday against our rivals. Thankfully we were playing an ass awful team forced to play a bunch of 3rd stringers. Whatever methods the coaching staff used to try and focus the team for yesterdays game I hope gets tossed in the trash can, set a blaze, and is never spoken of again. Because it appears from the outside looking in that it had the opposite of the intended effect.

Oh and if you don’t understand why I’m reading Inside Carolina forums after a loss to us you are missing out, bud. It is quality entertainment.

That was a book and half! Is that you Adventroo?! Can’t be, cuz I don’t remember him being argumentative for the sake of being argumentative.

Look, Chief, I’m not trying to bash our QB. I actually stated he’s a good college QB. You are the one who seems to stalk my every post on here and then magically appear when one post is questioning Finley’s decision making. Nice try, tater tot.

Tau, going back and watching the play again the ref makes the signal with his hands to stop the clock when Finley ran out of bounds. Watching it again shows he clearly runs out of bounds there. You can go read the idiots on Inside Carolina who are mad as hell at Fedora for burning a time out there as well. Either way, Finley draft stock isn’t going up after today’s game.

Oh yeah we obviously lose this game without Hines, even though we have such a supposedly high IQ “NFL caliber” QB playing at home against 3rd stringers.

Hey fellas, when you hear UNC fans whining about the refs, and I can guarantee you will, you just tell them “Hey, everybody does it.” They’ll know.

We’ve seen time and time again that Finley makes poor decisions in the 2 minute drill. We will have to agree to disagree. Have a nice night, Tau837.

    @Tau837
, I’m not gonna argue with you after we just beat UNC. You can argue with someone else if you’d like and write to your favorite NFL team’s owner to be sure and draft Finley to your team.

His football IQ was outstanding on the play in question, so not really a good example to support your constant need to criticize him and his NFL potential.

He ran within an inch of the out of bounds line when trying to run the clock out. That’s not being outstanding. I can guarantee the coaches weren’t praising him for that.

Finley is not that bright when it comes to end of half management. His draft stock continues to sink IMO.

If you are talking about him going out of bounds, he didn’t. That’s why UNC called timeout.

Well that’s good.. he sure as hell just about ran out of bounds. His football IQ and his down field throws are not NFL caliber. He’s a good college QB though.

There is another bad call that went against UNC. So it has gone both ways today. Just bad officiating all the way around.

Agree. Really terrible showing of the officials. We’ve gotten the better end of it to this point.

Sure would be nice to have those 8 points that we basically forfeited due to not having a decent kicker on the roster.

Bill, it’s looking promising. Heck my $75 on UNC +16.5 (which I had forgot about in my rage until just now) looks to be in danger.
