Seems like our offensive efficiency was really good. Too bad our defensive efficiency was so, so bad.
As for the foul disparity, they were fouling a lot in the last 2 minutes trying to play catch up. They did out foul us in the first half too though, so some of it was too many defensive fouls and some of it was playing catch up.
I would take a one loss MSU over a one loss OSU, but I would be hard pressed to take them over a one loss Big12 champ.
Somebody please remove OSU from the conversation. They don’t deserve to be in the picture losing to a lousy VT that’s not even bowl eligible yet in the weaker ACC division.
If only his feet or hands touch the ground then he’s not down. Why was it not an incomplete pass since it looked to me like he was trying to throw it away?
I do remember one of the late wildcat formations where we handed it off to the jet sweep guy, but the play was blown dead for a procedure penalty. I really think we were trying to setup a situation where we could attack the edge once the FSU defense was crashing down on the middle. It’s just unfortunate that the procedure penalty negated that play. I don’t remember any wildcat formations after this one.
Did anyone else notice that the snaps on our missed field goal attempts have all been low? I think this is contributing to smooth operators difficulties so far.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t the Vegas lines just created such that it influences the betting to be a 50-50 split between the teams to maximize the bookies profit?
I took the train to NYC once and it was about 11 hour trip from Greensboro. Already being in Central VA makes a big difference as you aren’t very far from DC where the high speed rail begins. I don’t think I’ll travel that way again. I was travelling around New Years and thought the airports would be too big a hassle.
I expect both teams to shoot a lot of free throws tonight thanks to the zebras. That doesn’t bode well for us.
The number of fouls called by this crew is not due to the changed emphasis this year. Jamie Luckie has a history of calling lots of fouls. I should have gone to bed as soon as I realized he was calling the game.
This is great new for Taylor. I’ve always enjoyed listening to his show and love him for taking on the tough topics here in Raleigh.
