Temple had a chance to get back in the conversation yesterday and got crushed by UH. Nebraska also messed their britches against Illinois. Georgia, Baylor, and Texas all helped themselves quite a bit with their Saturday wins. getting some separation from Louisville and Syracuse is important for us imho. I know there isn’t any conference quota, but having a clear advantage over teams that have a lot of common opponents can’t hurt your chances if we get lumped in the last 10-15 teams looking for an at-large.
But we have to play Louisville on Senior Day when Sam Hunt and Al will be emotional about their time at State, not to mention Frenchy and Abu.
Seriously, we are more likely to go 3-1 than 2-2 in my mind, but 1-3 is still very possible. Beat BC tomorrow night and then we can dream about the final 3 games. Lose and the thoughts of a nightmare finish will start to creep into our consciousness.
Anyone watching the Kansas WVU game? Ole Teddy Bear Hutchins got a big introduction to Jamie Luckie. He’s bad and influences games beyond the ACC. Luckie just T’d Hutchins up and kicked him out. Bet ole Lucky don’t ref in WVU anytime soon. Terrible ref….his name is met with more venom than that of Karl Hess.
Kansas attempted 35 FTs. WVU attempted 2. That may have been why Huggy Bear wasn’t so lovable at the end.
The stretch where Al, Beverly, and Markell missed 5-6 FTs was the reason that crap lasted way longer than it should have
