Well that sucked. First game in conference that we’ve lost that we should have won. BB got two good looks. Two technical free throws were the difference. Thank you TV Teddy

I think we can see how teams are going to start playing us…no open 3’s, make us beat them from inside. Earlier in the year, they wanted us taking 3’s because we couldn’t hit them

When you play four around one you create a lot of space for the guards to drive and you have to be prepared to do that when they run you off of the line

Not our best half but one of our smarter ones. No stupid plays and only a couple of questionable ones. Makes up for not being red hot from beyond the arc. Need to continue taking advantage of miscues by the Jackets.

Yes, I know that another plaid had past away…And believe it or not, hold high regards for Pembroke.

    Now…what about Elmo Wright?

Last I knew he was working for Harris County transportation department. Should be retired by now. I haven’t seen him at any of the UH football functions we’ve been to.

Hey, Tex. Is Guy Lewis still coachin’ down there?
Always had this strange affinity for the Cougs… Think it started with Elvin Hayes and Elmo Wright.

Speaking of Elmo, Bill Yeoman, still, can fire that football team up.

“The Old Coach”, that I have referred to, on numerous occasions, resides in Beaumont.

Coach Lewis died a couple years ago. North Carolina native Kelvin Sampson coaches the Coogs. I didn’t know until this year that he is a Lumbee Indian from Pembroke.

I can get BC or Houston on tv but not Clemson. Makes no sense.

I’ve been lucky all season on the split broadcasts. I’ve gotten State every time on the local station in Houston. Tomorrow I get UVA and Louisville. You should watch Houston. They have a really good team.

If I understand the tiebreaker rules correctly, we have to win out in order to get the double bye. I think we have the tiebreak with Clemson, so it doesn’t matter what they do. VT and UM play each other as their last game, so one of them will be 11-7, and each would have the tiebreaker with us. So, if we drop even one, we lose the double bye. We win out, and we are guaranteed the double bye.

What a great discussion this is considering where I thought we’d be after the 30-pt blowout loss to ND early in the year!!

If Klempson loses twice and the Cheaters lose there might be a way for us to get the DB. Haven’t gotten into the weeds of that yet but I assume it would be better for Miami to win than VT

Princess Leia and Fig Newton deliver the daggers on back to back nights against the blues. Our margin for error is now gone since one loss guarantees us a tie with either Miami or VT. Got to take care of business in Atlanta tomorrow night.

Larry’s boys up eight at the half in Cheater Hill.

More and more of the experts have us in without any reservations at this point. It makes my stomach hurt to hear that kind of talk. What I really want at this point is to win the ACC Tournament so the double bye is the first big step

So, here’s my question. I believe I’ve heard it stated (usually in reference to Notre Dame this year), that the committee takes into account injuries and the record of the team before, during, and after the injury, and might “help out” a team that returns a star late in the season.

The same could (should imo) apply to MJs “7 game suspension” (How many times did they say that on Sunday?), we lost 3 of our games (UNC-G, Clemson, ND) during this time.

Is that likely to help us?

We might get a semi-pass for the UNC-G game. The others are doubtful. At this point every little bit helps

Well for Keatts I understand, as he said on his show, just scraping up the grad transfers and the good fortune of getting Beverly eligible on appeal made a world of difference. If you rolled that set of dice 100 times they wouldn’t fall the way they have for us this season. So I totally get our OOC schedule. My question is (and has been) why does it matter if we played teams that are in the high 200’s/low 300’s or teams in the low or middle 200’s? In either case we would be expected to win, maybe by 12 instead of 20+ but still expected. THat’s my whole problem with the quadrant thing. I understand the math (VA) I just don’t understand the rationale behind the system.
I believe what V did some was played these same type teams but he would get ones that had won their dinky conferences and made the NCAA, but they were still dinky teams, but he could claim it as a quality win because they were an NCAA team. Of course I realize that predated the sophisticated system with all the metrics we have now.

V played ND, MSU, Louisville home and away, Mizzou on the road, WVU neutral, Wichita State neutral, Memphis State all during the time I was at State and the schedule was only 27 games prior to the tournament not 31

Duke called for 11 fouls at the half. VT only called for 5

    Side Note

The weekly ACC update won’t be up until sometime late Mon night. I hate it when real life interferes with the on-line one.

You are the man for doing the updates and I hope it’s fun real life getting in the way. That will give me some reading material while I watch the Rockets

Ya’ll do know that on paper… NONE of this makes any sense whatsoever, don’t you ???

    GO PACK!

    POP!!!

Well one of the things I was dead wrong about early in the season was saying that we didn’t have any shooters. Once Al figured out how to pass all of our shooters appeared in mass. Sam Hunt must feel like he won the lottery.

“Dear Jesus, thank you for letting me live long enough to finally see State College get another coach that has a team that puts their foot on someone’s ferakin’ neck and won’t let it off until there is no possible way they can win! I can now come home in peace!” GC

My Dad turns 90 in June. He was at State when they opened Reynolds. He is thoroughly enjoying this team because they are a team. Just have to keep winning.
