It was the last game. They worked hard for it and I think my daughter figured out that practice pays off.
I gave them the ‘you work hard and it pays off’ speech. This was probably my favorite season ever. To see my daughter expression of joy after winning was worth every minute I put into the season.
Thanks for sharing Rick. Those lessons are the ones that make youth sports worthwhile.
Establishing the link between hard work/preparation and success is the greatest lesson you can get from sports. I coached a one win team years ago and it wasn’t because of transfers either.

I’ll be concerned until I see us on the board. I’m amazed at all of the people having us as a lock. I hope they are correct.

It’s about match ups. There aren’t any teams we could play in the first round that are too good for us to beat. There might be a bad match up or two.
We had several bipolar games as Bill alluded to but we busted it all the way to the buzzer every time. Some time to rest and get ready for the 6-11 match up against Houston.
Watching the ticker while waiting at Jersey Mike’s I see Lunardi has us as a last 4 byes team. I can live with that
Allegedly ESPN BPI puts us at a 4% chance to make the tournament. I haven’t seen that personally. We were 16 spots above the cut line on the dance card before today. I can’t see us losing out altogether if they are even close to accurate. The one huge problem we have now that we’ve put ourselves in the bubble conversation, is our RPI/OOC SOS. It is a millstone around our neck. We’d better hope that there is a room full of eye test guys that saw some of our good games doing the picking.
I wonder if Keatts will just tell ’em he’s not going call any plays in the second half and them just to go out and have fun ?

It’s all about the defense in the second half. We need a lot of stops and live ball TO’s to even make this respectable.
