Cat is still just awful trying to run this offense.

I think we are staying away from their three point attempts to get a clear view of how to make threes.

A semi could get lost on the perimeter against us.

Turner gets yanked for non-existent defense and Lee launches a brick on a wide open 3 ball. That sums up our SG situation.

Kenny Carr led the ACC in scoring and rebounding one year and was not voted POY. That’s the other thing I remember about him.

No pain suffered by Kentucky is enough to satisfy me. Coach Case is smiling at this. It just boggles my mind how Cal gets a pass on the Derrick Rose situation. When a guy from Chicago fails to get the required number on the SAT 3 or 4 times and suddenly takes the test in Detroit and makes the number it doesn’t take an AFAM graduate to figure out what happened.

My post from yesterday vaporized after I hit the submit button, but Alpha and BJD have echoed my points on the PG situation. We could have won more games this year had Gott pulled the plug on Cat sooner but I understand what he was trying to do. Cat does have the greater upside and Lewis’ shortcomings are more physical, they ain’t gonna change.

We never developed a consistent second scorer this year. BSW is a very poor man’s Woo at best.

Dez Lee plays hard but it’s pretty obvious why he ended up in JUCO. He is an undersized guy who isn’t a threat from the 3 point line. When you are 6’3″ and your “game” is driving into the teeth of the interior defense and rarely passing you end up in JUCO.

Gott tried all kinds of guard combinations searching for one that was a net positive on the court. I personally don’t think there is a positive combo that exists on this roster. Lacey better be really good or Cat better really improve or we are going to suck big time again next year due to sub par guard play.

Vandy turned out to be only a slightly improved version of previous years.

Anya needs to learn 600 different ways to make a salad this summer and join Washington and Freeman for 2500 FT’s a day. I still believe the staff has at least two Richard Howells in this group. At 275-280 Anya could be dominant.

This season played out slightly worse record wise than I would have expected (1 or 2 games) but about the equivalent of 4 games worse versus the eye test. I would agree that another NIT bid, though I’m not sure we’ll get one this year, would spell the end of Gott. I’m only willing to tolerate this kind of season about once every 6-7 years.

Getting worse. Ultimately this team has never been able to get its head far enough out of its ass to be very good for very long.

Carr is the best State player since DT. Monroe second and very close to Carr. After that it’s hard to find any other players worthy of discussion with those two.

Warren getting mugged was THE key to the comeback. SCREWED BLIND AGAIN. Its so predictable.

There was a clear backcourt violation on the 1.5 sec pass inbounds by the cheaters.

Vandy’s first foul of the half on the replay he didn’t even touch the guy. The third foul Meeks lowered his shoulder and rammed him before Vandy got called. KW foul was a dumb lazy reach

I’ll go nostalgic to start. My first State-Carolina game was Clyde the Glide with the between the legs pass to Hawkeye Whitney for a slam. My fourth year at State was Lowe to Bailey for the Sam Perkins facial to cap the upset of the #1 Holes. These games always get my blood pumping a little stronger.

Now it’s time for game analysis. Defensive rebounding, turnovers, and our ability to hit 3 point shots. I’m afraid that GOTT will try to recreate the first game and go small. That would mean too many minutes for the turnover twins (Lee & Barber). I think we have a 12.3% chance of winning the game. I will watch via ESPN3 provided Verizon “HSI” cooperates

It was a block. Not even close. The Dookie was moving while Fair was airborne. It was a clear, easy call even under the old rules.

BJD has it correct. Des Lee has switched places with Turner for me. I recoil when he gets the ball. He’s a turnover waiting to happen.

I’ll keep saying it. The three bigs are going to be impossible for the rest of the league to handle going forward. If KH spends the summer with Marie Osmond, he and Abu will hold the opposition to 50 points per game.

-ball handling/secruity from secondary ball handlers.

I wasn’t aware we had any secondary ball handlers.
