ParticipantTrying to give it away

ParticipantBatts with the great defensive play followed by the mental brick. This game is killing me.

Participant“Freeman trying to do it by himself “

ParticipantWe are so much more talented and so much dumber than Syracuse
Texpack
ParticipantShoot the efffing ball Yurt!
Texpack
ParticipantWe will be very fortunate to finish the game with five players
Texpack
ParticipantMarkell has to resist the reaction, but he didn’t deserve a tech for that.
Texpack
ParticipantThat was a screw job

ParticipantMJ gets his fourth after getting shoved twice

ParticipantCuse in the bonus again with 13:29 to play. We are toast

ParticipantMarkell showing some swagger to go with the air ball. This is turning into a bi-polar game
Texpack
ParticipantWe could get to 55 if we keep this up. Syracuse is horrific on offense
Texpack
ParticipantDeath by a thousand paper cuts. Cuse will shoot 50 FTs tonight
Texpack
ParticipantBatts announces his arrival with an immediate turnover. Yurt and Dorn likelynsitting the rest of the half with Wo fouls each. Not exactly a peachy start for the Pack
Texpack
ParticipantWith all of the whistles we are looking at a three hour game
Texpack
ParticipantLooking like a 45 point total. This is why I said this was our toughest game of the last 8

ParticipantThis might be part of the problem:
Despite leading the nation in average attendance each year since 1997, Michigan has had issues recently selling student tickets.
My oldest son paid more for his student season ticket at tOSU ($365) in 2014. year than we did for our season tickets to UH in 2015 ($300/ea). His seats were end zone while ours are lower bowl around the 12. When you start losing the students you’ve got major problems down the road because those are your season ticket holders of the future.

ParticipantThis isn’t surprising to me. My wife and I have been season ticket holders at UH for the past three seasons. We only live about 20 miles from the stadium so we don’t have travel issues except for the dreaded Thursday night games. How do people who are driving 150-200 miles deal with having their weekends jacked around by the TV powers? Even in a place like Columbus, where we went to see tOSU a couple of years ago, hotel rooms were sold out months in advance. I can only imagine places like College Station and Klempson. The financial commitment is something we would never have made for a P5 type program with PSL’s and the like when we had young kids. We love being able to scratch our CFB itch by simply buzzing up the freeway for the games. State has been wise to keep Carter-Finley around 57-60k that’s a better long term size as more and more people opt to watch on TV.

ParticipantKeats commented after the game Saturday that our opponents fg% was a deceptive stat to look at because we create lots of turnovers. We are 136 in points allowed per possession so we aren’t creating nearly enough turnovers. We are 45 in points scored per possession which is amazing with the dearth of shooters we have. Let’s see if these numbers move over the next couple of years.

ParticipantIf we play the three home game the way we did Saturday in the loss we should go 2-1. That means we would need to go 2-1 on the road as well. If it was anybody other than WF and GT I’d say no way. We still have a chance. We could even go 3-0 at home, but I doubt it as well as UL and FSU normally defend.
As for the value of the OOC SOS, Gott demonstrated that in his first season. He scheduled well for bubble situations.

ParticipantI was wrong. Maye did have a career day. Yet again we allow one. What do we have to do to stop giving opponents career days? Rhetorical question.
For starters, box out. And a little helpside every now and then would be good, too.
You’re right this is where the defense needs to improve. They have figured out the running them off the 3 pat line but that requires some help for the times you are a bit out of control getting there. At least make them throw 2-3 passes to find an open shot.
In fairness to Keatts, he needs more athletic bigs to play this way. I think he’s done well with a makeshift roster. WF, GT, and BC are must wins
Need one win against the group of Cuse, FSU and Louisville
Anybody that said this team would be in bubble conversations half way through the conference schedule would have been drug tested if they worked for me. -
