ParticipantOK, no worries.

ParticipantHow about you quit worrying about what people complain about. Everyone had their own opinions and yours is no better our wise than anyone else’s
After my first post, all of my posts were either about the ongoing game action or in response to someone else commenting on one of my posts. I have given my opinions and never said mine is better than anyone else’s. Nor have I insulted anyone or given a nasty tone to any of my posts, which is more than can be said of others, including you.
Apparently my first “enough whining about the refs” post, which I did not direct at anyone specifically, touched a nerve. Lesson learned. I will never again question, criticize, or complain about SFN members complaining about the officiating.

ParticipantSo it looks like Tyler played the last 6 minutes of regulation and the entire OT, meaning Cat was on the bench for that entire stretch. Is that right? I’m guessing Cat played more minutes total for the game, but that is quite a turnaround for Gott down the stretch. And it was the right move.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out going forward. I’m guessing Cat still starts but Tyler will get into games earlier, at which point their effectiveness will dictate how much they play after their first stretches.

ParticipantSo much for the officiating conspiracy theory.
Why?
The one right doesn’t erase all wrongs.
Because, that play could have been called a defensive foul or a no call, which would have furthered the purpose of the conspiracy. The fact that it wasn’t ended up clinching the game.
Or maybe that particular ref just wasn’t in on it.
BTW, for the game, State had 18 fouls, Tech had 19. State shot 20 free throws and missed the front end on a 1-and-1 so should have shot 21. Tech shot 23 free throws, not sure if they missed any front ends.
Not much of a disparity there for the conspiracy theorists.

ParticipantRick, enough with the insults. You’ve now insulted me a couple times and I have not responded in kind. Relax, man.
Tau837
Participanti’d like to see Cat, Tyler, T.J., Des, and Turner on the floor for this inbounds play.
Tau837
ParticipantSo much for the officiating conspiracy theory. Good call and should clinch it.
Tau837
ParticipantThat block had to be either a jump ball or a walk.
The ball came loose in Miller’s hands at the block, hence no jump ball and no walk.
Tau837
ParticipantHe didn’t go straight up on the foul. At least not in my view of the replay.
But he sure did an awesome job of blocking Miller there.
Tau837
ParticipantWhat did he do wrong I d?
He didn’t go straight up.
Tau837
ParticipantNice tip by Vandy
Tau837
ParticipantSweet, we might get 5 more minutes of this.
Tau837
ParticipantChinese water torture comes to mind.
LOL
Tau837
ParticipantBig shot by Turner followed by a big rebound. He has proven that he deserved the start today.
Tau837
ParticipantNow I will let it go.
Awesome comeback.
Tau837
ParticipantRick, your last 23 posts in this thread have been complaining about officiating or some derivative. Serious question: Why do you bother to watch our games if it is so frustrating to you?
Are you even able to take any enjoyment out of this comeback?
Yes, you have trouble letting things go.
Tau837
ParticipantStop with your hypocritical crap.
Show me where I’ve been hypocritical.
Today. 🙂
Tau837
ParticipantOK, Wuf, then I must have been thinking of his third foul.
Tau837
ParticipantWow, crushing breakaway with a missed layup and missed tip, but next possession Tyler’s mid-range jumper gets us within 1.
Tyler is in the process of earning more playing time. Finally!
Tau837
ParticipantThat was a great defensive zone possession for us. I’d like to see us mix that in more often.
Tau837
ParticipantRight, Rick. Because us whining about it here will keep them from getting away with it. Give me a break.
Tau837
ParticipantWuf, no I was thinking of Washington’s foul. It’s a cardinal rule not to swipe down across the offensive player’s arms as he raises them in the act of shooting. It is almost always a foul and almost always a foul call. He should have moved his feet and kept his arms up to contest the shot. It was bad defense and he got caught on it.
Tau837
ParticipantRick, when you are on the wrong end of the foul calls, you have to raise your game. Or quit. Do you advocate quitting? I assume not. Our players and coaches cannot control the calls, but they can control our play. That needs to be the focus. And I’m sure it is their focus. I wish it could be ours as State fans.
Other fans view State fans as whiny fans, and this thread illustrates why.
Tau837
ParticipantDisagree BJD. On his last foul, KW reached on Miller and definitely fouled him. At this point, I don’t remember the others.
Tau837
ParticipantYes! Lewis is sparked. This could make things interesting for the rest of this game and beyond.
