I would throw the bank at Chris Collins. He is winning at Northwestern. We need someone with ACC ties. He may be waiting for K to leave but waiting at Northwestern has it’s own risks. I’d sure as hell call him, same as Arch and Marshall.

I remember reading Early was with Gott at Alabama. I think his leaving was given as one of the reasons for Gotts tailspin down there.

Lets see how ugly the taphole loss is. If we get beat by 30+ at home it should hasten the process.

    Archie Miller Dayton
    Kevin Keatts UNC Wilmington
    Greg Marshal WS
    Cuonzo Martin CA

    Frank Martin.

This. Martin teaches defense man. Someone pointed out that there may be bad blood given a player that was not granted a release, but I say water under the bridge. He would be a guy that would be an incredible fall back type guy (2nd weeker). He may hold out for Larranaga’s spot, not sure of the timing there but he’s from Miami I think.

Hopefully she is saying to respect what he has accomplished, but ultimately if he loses enough to get fired she will address that at the end of the season.

Barring the miraculous, he’s not doing nearly good enough for it to even be a hard question. If we care about our program in the least, a change will have to be made. The coaching and effort are noticeably poor. It’s at an unacceptable level.

If you want to keep it real then heck no. He looks like he’s playing in a darn all-star game, literally taking plays off at whim. If he quits on the team IMO his stock would drop a few notches because that is literally the bitch way out of a bad season. My .02

No, but he should really stop giving so much effort on defense. He really might pull a muscle or something. Dial it down a notch kiddo.

I think you have to give Archie first phone call. I don’t think we could get Marshall but I’d say those 2 are both home runs the whole fan base would accept. And I think they’d do a good job.

Yeah maybe so. Also he probably has his eye on Miami. I do love his defense, but the offense would possibly be not up to most fans liking. I would use him as a 3rd to 4th string back up plan. I kind of like his Bobby Knight type sideline demeanor. Kind of sick of the coach-friend thing.

Frank Martin…success at 2 big schools. Coaches defense. Team will be worse next year, I believe we could get him. We shall see if they have a nice postseason run.

Bill, excellent response. Yes, our teams have sucked but we have good fans. I’m sure this douche either pulls for a frontrunner or is disappointed like us…it has to be one or the other.

Have predetermined not gonna watch unless I end up on the treadmill with nothing else mildly entertaining. I’m over it. Would rather watch the press foam at the mouth over Trump’s latest (brilliance or gaffe depending on your stripes).

We are gonna lose every meaningful game, but beat the holes just like Doren then go to the final four of the NIT. Go Pack!!! Debbie will note the progress then next year and beyond we can LOL every game!

When I suggested Lutz I only meant as a placeholder for no more than a year if nobody will come and work for AD Yow. I’d much rather go with either Miller, Keats, or Martin. Whoever is the most feasible. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/how-frank-martin-and-his-sideline-fury-turned-south-carolina-into-a-winner-151406835.html

I was cautiously optimistic when he was hired and surprised at the first year success. Year 2 was a warning. I guess I’m perplexed and a little shocked at how this season has gone. I think even the pessimists are shocked at how bad we consistently look. If we were serious about basketball this crap wouldn’t fly. We shall see what happens.

In years where the Florida teams, GT, Wake, etc are better than us. We will probably NOT make the tournament. Just an observation.

Dorn is a good basketball player. For a supposed offensive coach, I can’t believe he can’t find a way Dorn can get some “microwave” type minutes. They guy has been completely lost since Mav has come back. How is that possible? We have seen him play good this year right in front of our eyes. I can understand a personal slump but this stinks of poor team management. Same goes for the benching of Kapita and now Anya. I would think Anya could come in for a 4 minute stretch each half. Y7 gives us zero now. Another lost player. Teach him to pump fake and draw some contact. He can hit free throws. Where is his 15 ft jumper?

Defensively where are the toughness drills? How about a 3/4 court trap? Does Yow understand how terrible this is or is she oblivious? How could her marquee coach be a guy that was fired and doing ESPN for 2 years? And she paid him like a proven commodity? Fire her butt!

And they pressed us. Unbelievable that we could apply zero pressure when they have their top 2 guards out of the game. No name big men. How many “first rounders” are on their team.

I like the idea above. If we can’t afford to get rid of Gott, fire Yow’s dumb arse and bring back Lutz on an interim basis next year. Let Whitt be assistant. Could they do worse?

These are epic losses. Sick of it. Sick of the entire basketball community being astounded at our defense.

I care not how much disarray Duke is in or how poorly they played. It takes a village to beat Dook in Cameron.

Agreed. Don’t want to hear about Duke’s problems. Not really a team in the country that has more NBA players. If anyone deserves a crap year it’s them. Heck, they deserve a crap decade.

Broken record, Kapita stat line is once again even or better than Abu’s. Abu 36 minutes vs Ted’s 19. It’s a mystery why Kapita hasn’t been given more minutes. He is your next Richard Howell. Very efficient and actually has offensive moves that involves catching, dribbling and attacking the rim. Dorn and Henderson can simply disappear in games for whatever reason. Glad Abu played like he did, just has to be consistent.

Dorn and Henderson disappear because they are jump shooters.
