Keatts team finished the Colonial conference as the 10th worst team in defense. The COLONIAL!!!!! We just had 6 seasons of that, don’t need anymore.

You gotta look at tempo too. If you watch them the effort is there. I dont want a 100% slow down guy.

    Kevin, is that you?

If there’s one thing I hate it’s a working the shot clock offense. I hate watching UVA,seriously HATE

Why wouldn’t Indiana look at Collins?

It’s more exciting at the end of the game to have the one and one for the chance for a comeback. Don’t lose the one and one, damn, seems so sterilized without it. They lost me when they lost the jump ball too. Hate the alternating possession crap. Completely bogus and can severely artificially hamper the outcome when it should be a dam jump ball. Because that’s the call, jump ball dammit, bring it back!! I also like the NBA rule of advancing the ball to the half court for a time out and a last second shot.

everybody knows Keats is likely at least 3rd, maybe lower. If it ends up as him, don’t poison the well

^not for a home and home. He may get a bite to travel somewhere, that’s up to him and his school.

Reading through Gregg Doyel’s tweets.. one of them he tweeted that his bro Sean is advising Archie against NC State due to it being a difficult job.

Okay I get it. But how is it more difficult than Ga Tech, Va Tech, Wake etc…I mean eventually you have to produce anywhere. Each of those schools hired better resume coaches than what we are hearing as our “fall” guy and canned guys recently who crapped out. For effs sake. Man up dammit.

Based on that rational, then the Ohio State job is just as tough/bad as State!

Quite the contrary – they are the flagship school. I will put it this way – I have met hundreds of people from Ohio – ALL of them love Ohio State and I don’t think a one of them went there. Heck, some of those other in state schools are huge – and like most other UNC dash schools – they are buckeyes first.

LOL. Yep. I knew a guy well who ran track for Miami of Ohio. Huge Buckeye fan. I mean there wasn’t even an ounce of shame about his allegiance, just laughter at any other suggestion.

Doubt he beats Kentucky. If he did, that would be the end of our shot I’d think anyway. If the beats Kentucky and UNC to go to a final four, give him the damn $5 million, hell give him $6

that’s spot on for %’s although I’d switch Marshall to Holtman and Holt to Jankovich

I tend to agree. Va Tech doesn’t get bad mouthed at every step either.

Everybody knows Archie has been reached. Impossible not to. If it’s Keats there is no doubt in my mind Archie said no. Not so sure about Marshall, but don’t care as much about him and his $5 xxlarge. So…at the end of the day, it is what it is 🙂

Georgetown would be an appropriate level jump for Keatts, if so. They could use ANY kind of injection of instant energy.

if Keatts were to go to Georgetown, our luck would be that he would end up winning 4 national championships there.
replay of, we could have hired Marshal or Miller 10 years ago

I know, I know. Trying to stay positive here. We can’t be snakebit forever can we? Hellfire, even South effing Carolina has their basketball team somewhat turned around.

    Sailing to Byzantium

That is no country for old men. The young
In one another’s arms, birds in the trees
    – Those dying generations – at their song,
    The salmon?falls, the mackerel?crowded seas,
Fish, flesh, or fowl, commend all summer long
Whatever is begotten, born, and dies.
Caught in that sensual music all neglect
    Monuments of unageing intellect.

An aged man is but a paltry thing,
A tattered coat upon a stick, unless
Soul clap its hands and sing, and louder sing
For every tatter in its mortal dress,
Nor is there singing school but studying
    Monuments of its own magnificence;
And therefore I have sailed the seas and come
To the holy city of Byzantium.

O sages standing in God’s holy fire
As in the gold mosaic of a wall,
Come from the holy fire, perne in a gyre,
And be the singing?masters of my soul.
Consume my heart away; sick with desire
And fastened to a dying animal
It knows not what it is; and gather me
    Into the artifice of eternity.

Once out of nature I shall never take
My bodily form from any natural thing,
But such a form as Grecian goldsmiths make
Of hammered gold and gold enamelling
    To keep a drowsy Emperor awake;
Or set upon a golden bough to sing
To lords and ladies of Byzantium
Of what is past, or passing, or to come.

I took that to mean his boss. That’s the most likely “some” to me. I mean he’s throwing shade at whoever he thinks was responsible for firing him at the very least. F. him.

Said something like “some people” (IMO meaning her of course, she fired him-maybe also elements of the fanbase) didn’t appreciate what he had done. Implying the same “hard to work for” bull crap. Didn’t name names.
