Charlotte is DROOLING over getting the Irish. For the folks in Charlotte to get to have a Notre Dame – Auburn bowl (for example) is definitely appealing.
I fully expect Notre Dame to be a full member of the ACC in the next 5 years…so, this stuff doesn’t bother me too much yet. Especially this year since we generally such and wouldn’t really deserve that good of a destination, anyway.

StateFansKeymasterIt is Thanksgiving week and Bryan deserves to be sent back to the top of our forums in case you missed this.
StateFansKeymasterTop games weekend preview:
StateFansKeymasterI’ve said a million times in the past and it continues to be proven true — as big of a power has Miami football was — they are are a small, PRIVATE school that has limited alums, fans and resources. Miami HAS NEVER BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL WHEN THEY WERE NOT CHEATING. EVER. PERIOD.
So, the decision for them is simple — are they going to choose to cheat or not? As along as they (and the ACC) try to have them walk the good path they will never be successful. Meaning, the Coastal is WIDE OPEN for the likes of UNC to emerge. Swofford knows this. Don’t you think there was a reason that Louisville was inexplicably put into the already stacked Atlantic? There was no way he wanted to give UNC more competition to emerge in the Coastal.

Class Class Class #62398StateFansKeymasterIt’s interesting to me when people gravitate to certain words as descriptors for others. If there isn’t a more perfect word for Fedora than DOUCHE then I’d like to know what it may be. It is the perfect description as evidenced by the fact that it is what everyone uses without any kind of co-ordinated effort.
StateFansKeymasterYou are 100% correct. I care very much about keeping the blog tight and keeping conversations off of it that don’t fit.
StateFansKeymasterpakistan — Since you seem to have forgotten how we do things around here…please allow me to take just a minute to remind you.
NOBODY CARES what your views are of the forums, the blog and/or the content that we choose to share. We very much welcome comments that are focused on the actual topic at hand and love discussions that derive themselves out of such comments. But, NOBODY cares what you choose to click on and choose not click on. It is fascinating to me that you would take time out of your life to actually type out a narrative telling everyone what you choose not to do with your time. It has nothing to do with the TOPIC.
You are on record as saying that you won’t watch videos. Great. Nobody cares. So please don’t waste your time sharing it anymore.
If you don’t like videos so much then I encourage you to (a) comment more on all of the other posts, and (b) to open more topics on the message forums to dilute the presence of videos.
StateFansKeymasterMy last game against Duke was one to remember thanks boys!! But this fresh start is much needed. #Induetime #cantwait

StateFansKeymasterIt’s one of those little twists in basketball lore that Jim Harrick was the opposing coach for that game in light of his connection to our current staff. Hell, I bet Jeff Dunlap was probably on that staff at Georgia at the time. I haven’t taken the time to check that out, however.
StateFansKeymasterHe is the consummate marketer and a pretty great coach to go along with it. He will take Auburn to heights they haven’t seen since Charles Barkley in the blink of an eye.
StateFansKeymasterAll indications have been for weeks that we still have a couple of high profile kids on which we are VERY close!

StateFansKeymasterit is CLASSIC for the last 20 year history of us playing them — basically, somehow we get matched up against some of their absolute best teams in their program’s history…but very rarely (only once with CTC about 10 years ago) do we get to play them when we’re having one of our better years.
They are senior laden and this is their last hurrah. I think they’ve got about the same amount of seniors than we have seniors and juniors combined.
StateFansKeymaster…I’m not going to get into the debate again. It was never televised. It was never recorded. Nobody ever saw or heard him say it on any recorded media. But, people clearly think they did!
StateFansKeymasterI had a little hope that we could establish a bit of a home court advantage after that game. Probably 80%ish of what we had a Reynolds. I was way off.
I’m guessing the PNC is ‘50%’ of what Reynolds was for it? I know that is somewhat unquantifiable. Giving it a stab, nonetheless.
StateFansKeymasterI was there!

StateFansKeymasterHow Mississippi State could miss the college football playoff at 11-1
Pretty interesting thinking…and, I don’t necessarily disagree with it.
Mississippi State, at 11-1 with a reasonable loss to Bama, appeared to be a slam dunk heading into last weekend. But, that was before LSU, Texas A&M and Auburn lost.
StateFansKeymaster…with the weak spot being Clemson losing to Winthrop by 3 points last night. Ouch!
StateFansKeymasterMiami came back and beat Florida last night. So, to this point in the season the ACC is 24-2 on the hardwood. WOW!
StateFansKeymasterCould Muschamp land a head coaching job somewhere else?
