I still am trying to figure how anything is ‘independent’ when the bill is being paid by the school!
When you buy a house, the bank doesn’t let you hire/engage the appraiser for a REASON! The person paying the bill is the person whose interests get looked after.

I can’t help but think of a few wide open passes that he missed that would’ve made huge differences in the season — first and foremost the one vs Syracuse that would’ve gone for a TD.

If the story is true, its pretty wild. Regardless, the guy sure did go with a high production for a local commercial. No doubt that he has gotten WAY more than his money out of it at this point with it going viral all over the interwebs.
Yes. NEXT YEAR’s class will only have room for 15-20 scholarships. They are going to have to really attract high quality guys with less room for numbers and ‘development opportunities’.

I bet if we win all of early games that we won’t have an attendance problem.
Should get to 16 teams and split the divisions. If you want you can play one or two teams in the other division. DO NOT ALLOW IT TO COUNT IN THE STANDINGS! It can still be a ‘conference’ game without it counting in the standings.
That way each division has a true round robin. Take the winner of each division and have them play in the Championship game. You get the best of all worlds and get balance and FAIRNESS in determining a champion.

I can understand basketball recruiting not being very exciting as Gottfried has not yet shown an ability really develop the players that he gets into the program. Usually, part of the recruiting construct in the minds of fans is that all of the players come into the program and improve relative and proportional to each other. We don’t have a lot of faith in that happening…so, our good recruits get caught up to by other teams/coaches.
