Absolutely nothing in recent history should have made us think we were gonna get “our guy” this time around. I’m actually starting to believe what the media says about us/me as state fan(s). I say we accept our fate as the red haired step child to the two child prodigies in durham and chapel hell. Do away with bball and throw it all in on football. Now of course in about 8 months I’ll reverse my opinion when a talented Dorean team struggles to get to .500 but damnit until then!!!!

If you wanted a freakin’ coach from what I understand Gott should have been your man! In fact that’s probably been his issue at more than one school.

With all do respect I disagree with us being “flush”. Two, maybe three years straight preseason top 10 rankings, world series births….I’d just like to see a stadium that reflects what Avent has built here….you know, similar to every other team in the ACC. Not complaining, I absolutely love Doak, really. It’s like knowing I deserve a Range Rover but understanding I only need a Honda Pilot. I’ll leave it alone now.

Chains you’re right on, I was confused about him finishing out the season but seems to make more sense now. Now what should happen is his kids feel THEY owe it to him to go out and play with some gott da*n effort. He is the boss, the CEO…when the business fails it’s rightfully on him. Let’s not kid ourselves however, those young men on the court are either off the charts stupid or they just don’t play. More than one coach in the league has let us know that. Losing by 51, 27, 30 so on and so on when you have a top 5 NBA lottery pick point guard with a wealth of talent is not now nor will it ever be a direct reflection of the coach. That sh*t takes a team effort to be that da*n bad.

If any of you thought, thought we were a joke you now know your thoughts are reality. Cant even fire someone right….que alanis morrisette…isn’t it ironic.
I’m imagining a faded image of BJ floating just above the ocean at sunset. I’m not sure what to say about someone sitting in the cool sand, listening to the calming sound of the waves crashing on shore whose thoughts in this wonderful moment are about BJ Anya. Anyway, BJ realized towards the end of last year that he enjoys being around the team and the program, BJ also realaized his NBA hopes were quickly vanishing before his eyes so I think he just decided to enjoy himself as much as he can and enjoy the college experience. BJ is not a distraction, his production and minutes really haven’t suffered at all with his weight gain. BJ Anya isn’t even on the radar of NC State problems.
Oh, and it does need to be repeated. Dennis Smith Jr. will not spend one second on any developmental teams roster. Not a day, not a minute, not a second.
There is no need to be offended as a state fan or supporter if Dennis Smith did “shut it down”. No need to stop your LTR purchases, no need to burn state apparel. Dennis CAME here, Dennis signed here when Bam and all the others went where they knew they’d get exposure. So, there is your Ra Ra speach, he gave us a chance.
I agree with everyone about the potential developmental needs and what Dennis really needs to solidify his game. Difference between he and Cat is…Dennis had and has the mentality he is a top five NBA guard now. Dennis had and has the mentality that he’d go to college for a year to test and rehab his knee and gain the experience. Dennis is a great player, he would not be letting any of us down if he “shut it down”. Gott and the rest of the administration has already done that.
Bavo NFL, Bravo. Once again the gods of the universe got exactly what they wanted, a darling team helped out by unbelievably horrid game management and a small barrage of yellow flags all but guaranteeing a come back win by the sweet hearts. I blame this on John Swofford.
I’d rather sit through two to three years of losing seasons with a young not so talented roster than watch just one more gd game where we give up 30 open, uncontested three point shots or allowing opposing team players to have career nights. Good luck in the NBA Dennis, thank you for the pack family loyalty. Yurt7, check you on a D league roster if not another D1 squad that will properly develop you (probably your better route). Malik, good luck young man, Mav…sorry bro, graduate early and get the f out that way you could play immediately somewhere and get some exposure.
