ParticipantSome nuances that I thought exhibited the sheer poise and focus throughout the game:
I noticed Hodge’s tweet in the margin about Dez’s drive and completed free throws, and agree wholeheartedly. Haven’t seen it mentioned but one time Dez was falling out of bounds, saving the ball, he had total body control and rather than just fling it back in bounds he found no one to pass to so just went out. That gives up the ball but it allowed us to set up instead of giving them a fast break opportunity. Thought it was very heady.
Another play Lacey gets fouled on a three. Does he squander the opportunity? Nope, hits all 3 FT’s. Focus.
Thought the 3 timeouts in the second were great calls (as noted by BJD real time). He also proved to be right when earlier in the week he said Cat was better than Paige, as long as Cat believed so.

Participant^ I thought he showed much better judgement on Saturday. In fact I thought the team’s shot selection and spacing was better than it’s been all season. Defense and rebounding too for that matter. And Cat deserves some kitty treats if he can continue to be the guy he’s been the last three games.

ParticipantMaybe if he calls them all Calvin … nah, nevermind.

ParticipantHave been thinking all season that our team would be well served to have at least one scrimmage every week where only the scout team is allowed to dribble.

ParticipantThis is excellent reporting and thank you. Not trying to sound greedy but are you interested in bball recruiting too?
Since74
ParticipantAnyone got a site where I can watch the replay? Had to be on the road and caught the end on the radio.

ParticipantGet ’em CD.
I’m sorry too.

ParticipantWe only beat one top 5 team this week and missed one of our last 8 free throws. Fire Gott and send Cat to Siberia!!

ParticipantI was rolling those two over in my mind trying to figure it out and only coming up with
YMMV= You Move My (well nevermind) and
EOTB= End Of The Bench (as in a dismissal or temporary banishment)Either way didn’t really quite work
I’ve found this site http://www.netlingo.com/acronyms.php very helpful since the last time wufpup had to spell out an internet acronym for me. …. and thanks again for that.

ParticipantI haven’t seen the shoes but I love the Darth Vader visor.

ParticipantUNCC beats Penn St. and South Carolina on consecutive nights. Charlotte plays Miami on Sunday for Charleston Classic championship then have them again in Charlotte on Tuesday. Gotta post it now that my kid’s a Niner. Can almost smell the Cornbread.

ParticipantSeems I got us off topic and renewed the usefulness of the moniker …. Oops!

ParticipantIs that Heisenberg in the foreground?

ParticipantRefreshing Greywolf.

ParticipantIf he plays like he played his first game here he’ll be fine. Waited all year for that Dez to show up again.

ParticipantThanks wufpup. Pretty funny. Always suspected the H and the S were actual initials as in BMFD.
Also glad we’re not talking about him enough to need the moniker anymore, but glad to be let in on it before it’s extinct.

ParticipantICYMI? Little help please.
… and while we’re at it, what does the string of 5 or 7 or 13 initials associated with Sendek stand for?
Thanks

Would be nice to have a Lewis caliber back up PG this year.Trevor Lacey. Bam! Wish granted.
Thought he was an SG. Either way I’m very optimistic about our depth everywhere else. Can’t wait to see this year’s version.

ParticipantPrediction: As Cat goes, so goeth the Pack.
Would be nice to have a Lewis caliber back up PG this year. Raising my glass to Cat Barber’s health.

ParticipantBeat me to the punch on Howard, Don, and Frank. Used to love that.
Still remember watching Monday Night Football when Howard interrupted to report John Lennon’s death.

ParticipantEdit: Mods please save me from my own incompetence. Here’s the addy, couldn’t make it show up as a link. Thanks.

ParticipantThis team lost 80% of last year’s scoring.
Tyler and TJ played together some last year … They’re sophomores.
This team was picked preseason to finish 10th or 11th in the ACC.
We had close losses to *NC, Syracuse, and Wake Forest that May have been wins if those games were officiated differently in the last 30 seconds.
Most of the best teams I’ve seen in all sports lose a lot of close ones one year and the next come back more mature and better equipped to win the close ones.
Gott has made the tourney 3 years out of 3 years.
I really like the personality of this “TEAM” and hope that no one on it chooses to leave because it’s fans talk mad sh*t about everyone on it after every loss and continuously use demeaning nicknames for everyone even during the wins.
Keep telling these young people they are victims of State sh*t and see if it perpetuates itself.
To the coaching staff and team: Great job guys. I can’t wait to see what your experiences mature into next year.
This program is on the right path.
