RickKeymaster
I just started watching. What happened?
You might have answered your own question.
Turn the TV off and turn the radio on, please. But as soon as I post they turn it around. So post more……
RickKeymasterI just started watching. What happened? They started scoring with ease
RickKeymasterchop,
Great point about being at home. That can really help a floundering team.RickKeymasterTonight is pretty much a must win (at least as close as you can come to one this early in the season). I doubt we beat UNC if we are 0-2 so 0-3 would be a disastrous start.
RickKeymasterVa,
Good stuff as always. I am guessing the post was from BJD.RickKeymasterHe must expect them to suck. This gives him am excuse
RickKeymasterMy point is you are going to find everything and anything to find fault with him regardless, even if you have to contradict yourself.
And how did I contradict myself? I pointed out an article that is bad for the program. Not the rosey picture you seem to want to portray.
RickKeymasterThis is where the house of cards starts to collapse
Wait…this is the opposite of every narrative I have heard from you guys. This guy is saying that Smith has no talent around him, that Y7 is the only other NBA caliber player on the team (probably true, and he is questionable at this point), and that he is not particularly impressed with Smith’s talents either. You guys have been saying we are over loaded with talent and the only thing holding us back is GOTT’s coaching ability. What gives…which is it?
So your point is Gott cannot bring in talent?
OK.RickKeymasterCareful BotB…one thing I have learned without a doubt is that this site does NOT speak for WOLFPACK Nation. Not even close. As for me, I have a great deal of respect for Yow and appreciate what she has accomplished.
Which is what?
Non revenue success, spending money, embarrassing coaching searches and no championship’s in revenue sports?RickKeymasterIf he misses the tournament (which I don’t think he will) then that would be missing the tournament in years 5&6, one of which is his most talented team. That should be a kick out the door but a bad contact and lame duck AD would keep that from happening.

http://basketball.realgm.com/analysis/244339/Prospect-Report-Dennis-Smith-Jr-Of-NC-StateRickKeymasterOne league game and the world is ending. You guys aren’t BB coaches, just wantabees or worse. At least the coach’s last name isn’t….(starts with an S)
Hyperbole much?
There is a six year trend. But if it makes you feel better to think everyone is overreacting to one game then have at it.
Same issues. No defense. Bad rebounding. No continuity on offense. Lack of preparation.RickKeymasterWe should change our name to the ncsu ‘almost’.
RickKeymasterGott’s not even in the top 75% of coaches in the ACC. We are going backwards.
But it doesn’t matter. He isn’t going anywhere until after Yow is gone and we will miss on Archie (when this happens I will probably be done with ncsu). By then players will see his inability to develop and we will not get top players. Empty cubbard will leave the next coach in a hole.RickKeymasterRick…
if you want to be great Coach…
you’ll learn as much from “bad” ball as from “good” IF not more…corollary to ‘you learn from your mistakes, not so much from the things you do right’…
and it’s really easy to learn from others’ mistakes…I’m not talking X&Os… I’m talking people management…
Agreed. Good coaches learn from their mistakes. I have never seen this in Gott. He seems unwilling or unable to improve his team defense.
Btw I think it is harder to learn from others mistakes and easier to learn from your own.
RickKeymasterUnless you are a micro-manager of an in game coach (see Sidney Lowe) then 95% of coaching is done prior to games. We can see who did a better job coaching prior to this game.
In game coaching is tweaking things
RickKeymasterWhen teams are relatively equal in talent…
the outcome comes down to:
60% attitude and momentum
20% coaching
20% luckWhat do you really expect the Coaches on the down side of the score to do once you’re half way thru the second half ???
Two things
1) I don’t believe in luck. The more prepared and harder working teams tend to be ‘lucky’
2) Nothing at that point. But they should be better prepared going into the game.
Other than that I agree with your post.RickKeymasterI have lost all interest in this basketball team. I will not waste another day watching a team this bad. Good luck
It will be a convenience thing for me. If I am home and bored I might watch. It’s simply not worth the effort to watch bad basketball.
RickKeymasterCan we change Henderson’s name to scorch?

Today?
Yeah… today.
We’ve both seen 10 times better than this from GOTT && Company…
I would agree we’ve seen more, I am not sure we have seen better. Bench coaching is not Gott’s strength
RickKeymasterKids not getting a lot from the Bench today…
Today?
RickKeymasterNot sure defense is the ONLY problem. More like rebounding, turnovers, poor shot selection, and bad shooting
Ftfy
RickKeymasterDown 18 to Miami? Someone please tell me we’re a young t am.
We are not a young team. They haven’t been together a long time but that’s because Gott can’t keep played here.
RickKeymasterI wasn’t going to get drunk tonight
Why?
I mean, I have a high tolerance. I figured I’d be tipsy. But 2016 can suck it.
It seems to have been a brutal year for celebs.
RickKeymasterI cannot disagree that the evidence points in that direction at this point, Rick.
Hehehehe….how’s that for a diplomatic reply?Much more diplomatic than me
