If it was so easy for you to figure out what to do why did Gott not see that coming and adjust? You mean the coach put the blame on someone other than him? Hardly shocking nor especially enlightening.
Now, nobody has ever called Uncle Roy a basketball “genius” — hardworking, dedicated, consistent, future HOF, yes… “genius” No. Not even the most true of the light blue, call Roy a “basketball genius”.
Who cares if someone is a genius just that they are successful. Gott is a decent coach but IMO he is not top forty. I am wondering if his health issues have him rearranging what he considers important because he is not even performing up to his own standards this year.

My only point is that starting from where we were, we had to get to this point in order to get to the next point and everybody knew, I think, it wasn’t going to be overnight…
It’s taken six long years to steadily work out from under the inherited mess and to get seven kids with high potential and little or no college experience on the Team as a real nucleus for the next 2 or 3 years.
And that’s not to say that mistakes have not been made and side steps have not been taken. They have.
Just that ain’t nobody jumping off the ship or the roof over one game.
He and Sendek have similar accomplishments. You consider him top 40?

Look out OT13, some on this site will 100% disagree with your statement some of our players need to start playing team ball instead of for the NBA. I for one agree 100% with that statement. The UNC – VT game was bout as close as two opposites that will ever see in Pack play. So was the outcome.

You are going to see a drop in talent add players see Gott is all show and no go.The higher-ups complete inertia wrt Yow, despite her willingness to just “let it ride” with “her guys” in both revenue sports during her retirement tour is very, very bad management. At a time when it should be clear to anyone, even one who is NOT a “sports guy” that BOTH revenue coaches need be under critical, objective evaluation.
I would say it borders on abandonment of fiduciary duty, frankly. Really pisses me off.

False dichotomy. How about Gott improve in the few areas needed to take us to the next level? That is what I would prefer.

One of our group pointed out that Buzzy was MJ’s UNC Roommate. MJ was also Buzzy’s Best Man. Last night, he needed MJ back in uniform

The Mule played last night. As I predicted K’s indefinite suspension was one game. It was done just to placate the media. I don’t get the love for him. Pathetic.
