I think it’s the same twin. Sometimes he wears 14, and sometimes he wears 15. Gott does that to keep the parents happy.

4 points, 4 assists and 4 turnovers is hardly huggable, I do hope he continues to find his confidence. As much as I personally am frustrated by Cat he is without a doubt a talent, I want him to succeed. Great win, tar holes coming in…LETS GO!!!

And he’s probably the best on ball defender in the ACC.

Get ready for the KH stickers of support… really glad his ouster ultimately wasn’t due to anything NCSU-centric.. we’d have never won another game.

It’s now being reported it was due to an accumulation of events, ie our stuff.

The good thing is other conferences are starting to bail on him as well, so all referees need to take notice.

Well, quiet or not, we just picked up a new guy. Ford Howell who was a commitment for us in 2013, but ended up going to Wake Forest is now back with us. He spent a year in between at a community college, so he should be eligible to play right away. He is already enrolled, and is a 6’1′ 240ish linebacker.

Thanks for the update. Much appreciated!

I’m hearing there may be some academic issues with Hughes and that’s why he didn’t enroll early. I have also heard our staff has moved off him. Unsure of the reliability of these reports though.

“Beejay had zero points, zero rebounds, zero assists, and 4 turnovers in his 18 minutes on the floor. What part was he doing exactly?”

He was at least doing his part on the pick and roll, that’s all I was talking about. There were several – 6, 7, 8? – times in the 2nd half that BJ rolled to the basket with no one on him, and no pass. That’s all I was saying. The other aspects may play a part, as Jigawatts said, maybe a lack of trust in BJ to finish

I think you mentioned you only saw the 2nd half. In the 1st half, the few times they fed the ball to Beejay he acted like Barney Fife trying to arrest Charles Mansion. Shaky to say the least, and usually resulted in a turnover. Right or wrong, the guards have no confidence in him. That is something Gott has to fix.

BJ was doing his part all night (or at least for the 2nd half that I saw), but never got a pass thrown his way.

Well, we can scratch Marquez Valdes-Scantling off the list of WRs for next year. It looks like he has left the program. That’s one way to cure the dropsies.

I’d short NC State stock here. Bear market of a 3-4 game schedule coming up.

Khan, you’re shorting penny stocks now? Just kidding, but there will definitely be a buy low opportunity after tonight’s game.

Virginia has the #1 rated defense in the country, and also are the number one field goal shooting percentage team in the country. We are going to beat them how?

Never mind, my mistake. I went and re-checked my facts, and they are #2 defensively, and #20 in FG%. We’ve got this one.

I heard it, and wasn’t too crazy about it. But as long as what he said is true, I can’t get too upset. Hopefully Doeren can change that around in the next few years.

A frustrated Gottfried hinted at lineup changes after the Cinci loss, and I would be shocked if we didn’t see some. I think we may see Turner come off the bench and Caleb starting in his place. I also wonder if Abu has displaced Beejay at the 5 spot.

Cat, Lacey, Caleb, Kyle, and Abu would be a far more energetic lineup to start the game.

Our ACC schedule is brutal. We play most of the bottom feeders only once, and they are away games. I’m thinking .500 will be a good achievement, but maybe not enough to make the tournament.

I had a few beers yesterday with a friend of mine while watching the Panthers destroy the Falcons. The guy is an ECU grad, and a hard core Pirate fan. I have never known him to say anything good about State football, yet yesterday he expressed admiration in the direction our program is headed and envy with the coach we have in place. He wasn’t even drunk yet. That is good enough for me.

I’d be surprised if most people don’t understand you need an undergrad degree to get into law school, but you never know. I think people are just repeating what Bo said: “My goal is to pursue a specific career in law and politics”. I’m assuming he has researched this thoroughly.

Regarding the impact on the team, I think it’s possible, especially if we land Johnny Frasier, we will see B. Hines replaced in the slot by N. Hines.

It really does speak volumes of the type of player DD is recruiting. Something tells me will be hearing much more from Mr. Hines in the future, and it will not be related to football.

Sounds like he’s going to Yale to pursue a law degree and political career. Good for him.

247 Sports has moved us up 20 spots to #35 with the Hines signing. Hughes signing should bump us up a few ticks Monday, and if we somehow land Frasier we will be solidly in the top 25.

On one of their sites, someone brought up the foul disparity and blamed it on home cooking. Every Vol fan who responded disagreed, and said their team has been way too foul prone all year. To their credit they did not blame the refs. It looked fair to me, but I guess I am a little biased.
