Kyle Washington will be joining almost Wolfpack player Gary Clark at Cinci. Good fit for him I think, and they should be a very good team this year.
redisgoodParticipantOn the surface, it’s not a good look (multiple high schools and colleges), but it really is an incredible story of perseverance. Living in a car with his brother and drug addicted mother, I can’t even begin to imagine what his life was like.
Good for him. I hope Hurley and Levi can help him be successful.
redisgoodParticipantNot seeing “the hammer” here, folks.
Agree.
redisgoodParticipantI’m hearing the NOA will be released tomorrow. I have zero expectations either way. They could get hammered or a small slap on the wrist. Hopefully we will know soon.
redisgoodParticipantTo try and reverse any bad luck I may have brought by speaking of a potential W for the Wolfpack, I am ceasing to make any more comments about Forth Worth forthwith.
redisgoodParticipantYup, definitely liking these baseball threads.
redisgoodParticipantBaseball threads are fast becoming my favorite. Not sure why tho. Can’t quite put my finger on it.
redisgoodParticipantCal beat Texas A&M, so we actually have a good chance of hosting a super regional. Cal is a 3 seed, so if both advance, it would come here. ( not jinxing, just informing).
redisgoodParticipantWow, what a game! With the closer they’ve got I thought we were finished. That was fun. Will probably take me a while to calm down.
05/29/2015 at 12:42 PM in reply to: ACC Basketball: Charlotte transfer Torin Dorn considering N.C. State, Texas, Mia #86671redisgoodParticipantHe’d be a nice addition for 2016. I am surprised Gottfried has been unable to add a ball handling guard that can play right away. Either he feels Martin and Henderson can do the job, or he hasn’t been able to convince someone to come here. There is still time, but I’m not sure who’s out there. This can be a very good team, but has a very big question mark hanging over it’s head.
redisgoodParticipantConversely if the Irish win today and we lose, there is no Saturday scenario that would get us to Sunday.

05/19/2015 at 12:06 PM in reply to: Seton Hall Transfer Gibbs Chooses UCONN Over State, Others #86341redisgoodParticipant“Man, that’s not who I am,” he tweeted. “I’m sorry to my family, friends, fans and team for being an embarrassment. Even more to Arcidiacono. I let my emotions get the best of me and that wasn’t acceptable. I hope you’re alright, and I will face any consequences coming. … Sorry again, Ryan Arcidiacono. It really is weighing heavy on my heart.”
What a thug.
Ryan Arcidiacono
?@RyArch15“Emotions sometimes get the best of us. heat of the moment thing. We’re all good. @SterlingGibbs4”
“While thousands of adults were arguing on social media about what happened, what didn’t happen and what should happen next, the two college kids who were actually involved in the incident showed more maturity and reason than almost everybody else combined.”
05/17/2015 at 9:53 PM in reply to: Seton Hall Transfer Gibbs Chooses UCONN Over State, Others #86318redisgoodParticipantGibbs is a huge loss. Difference between a bubble team and possible Final Four. The incident you reference was way out of character for him. Really a good kid. Too bad, but like I said, we probably never had a chance. Add to that the fact Purvis was his escort during his visit, we definitely didn’t have a chance.
05/17/2015 at 8:32 AM in reply to: Seton Hall Transfer Gibbs Chooses UCONN Over State, Others #86304redisgoodParticipantThat is a tough break for us. Gibbs teamed with Cat would have put us back in the Top 10-15 preseason. But honestly I think he had UConn picked all along and everything else was a smokescreen to avoid tampering charges. He originally announced for the Huskies before he even had his release from Seton Hall.
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen an ACC team go into a season with only one true guard. Should be interesting.
redisgoodParticipantShould be a fun game between two fringe Top 25 teams.
redisgoodParticipantI’m going with Archie on this one.
redisgoodParticipantThis is great news, even more so because of the KU bs. Now, watch what Gott does next!
Yep. Big things are coming.
redisgoodParticipantFor real this time.
redisgoodParticipantStill need some kind of combo guard, but a great pick up. And more than the signing, I think it speaks volumes for our chances of landing Bam and DSJ.
04/28/2015 at 12:50 PM in reply to: The last 24 hours haven’t been stellar for Mark Gottfried #85800redisgoodParticipantI can’t help but appreciate the irony that less than 24hrs ago Gott was catching hell for landing a kid nobody else wanted.
lol
04/28/2015 at 12:27 PM in reply to: The last 24 hours haven’t been stellar for Mark Gottfried #85796redisgoodParticipantMark Turgdeon’s doing pretty well BUILDING his program up at Maryland. Not sure what Gott is building other than a house of cards. No seniors or freshman? SEVEN scholarship players? Enjoy another bubble year because the future looks dim.
Let’s just hope we only have one more year of Gott and can hire Archie next year.
Turgeon should have a great team this year no doubt, but I’m not sure about building his program. In four years nothing, NIT, nothing, NCAA round of 32. Having both Layman and especially Trimble come back is huge, as well as getting Diamond Stone. But I think you will see all three gone after this year. Trimble and Layman for sure, and Stone probably. He has the GT transfer Robert Carter available this year, and is recruiting Rasheed Sulaimon. He also has a 4 star PG signed for 2016. Some good signs definitely, but it might be premature to call this building a program. Maybe, but who knows right now?
04/28/2015 at 12:01 PM in reply to: The last 24 hours haven’t been stellar for Mark Gottfried #85790redisgoodParticipantWell, there is sure no doubt where his coach wants him to go. I’ll be impressed if he sticks with his word, but I would also understand if he goes the other way. Here is a kid not getting a lot of interest, and suddenly the top program in the country calls with an offer? Hard to say no to that.
redisgoodParticipantI agree. And to compound the situation, I strongly suspect Calipari is motivated more by his hopes to land Kirk’s teammates DS Jr. and Bam Bam rather than the kid’s talent.
redisgoodParticipantThe Kentucky offer has me a little nervous. Hopefully Gott gets his signature on an LOI quickly.
Update: Kirk is going to evaluate the Kentucky offer. (It’s never easy being a Wolfpack fan)
