redisgoodParticipant
I’d sit him for the first series.
redisgoodParticipantMan, WRAL must have all their reporters working on this story. There’s an army of them putting out tweets all day.
redisgoodParticipantNo soup for Shad!!!
redisgoodParticipantHaha. Good point.
redisgoodParticipantI think with the way the weather is looking this weekend, it’s going to come down to winning the ground battle. Shad obviously would be a big part of that. Maybe it’s time for Reggie Gallaspy to take on a bigger role.
redisgoodParticipantDoeren said he just hasn’t had the time to deal with it.
Where has he said that? Did he comment on it publicly?
Yes, on the weekly ACC coaches conference call about an hour ago.
redisgoodParticipantNo worries though. The local media is all over this. I expect they will be interrupting local programming to bring us further updates.
redisgoodParticipant^ He would not be practicing. Looks more and more like over reaction to this detective.
Doeren said he just hasn’t had the time to deal with it. Too bad he has to deal with anything other than preparing for Louisville. It may not be a distraction to the team, but every minute of game week is like gold to the coaching staff.
redisgoodParticipantThe moped isn’t the problem. It’s the drinking before getting on the moped and the drinking before doing other stupid things that is the problem. I hope he gets things sorted out eventually.
redisgoodParticipantThe charge sounds like what Jerry and his friends got arrested for in the final Seinfeld episode.
redisgoodParticipantShad arrested again Tuesday night. Seriously?
redisgoodParticipantI’m seeing monsoon forecasts for Raleigh, how is outdoor basketball going to work?
The crack meteorologists at WRAL are now calling for clouds and patchy rain. So that could mean anything from bright and sunny to a category 5 hurricane.
redisgoodParticipantThey have also struck a deal with one of the local MacDonald’s to count their drive-thru customers as part of the official attendance, because it is highly probable these people are quite possibly considering maybe going to a football game at some point in their life, and since they are in Chapel Hill anyway, this could potentially be that day.
redisgoodParticipantI believe Saturday morning is an SAT day in Raleigh, so that will likely keep some local high school students away as well.
Geez. Sleep, tailgating, Red & White game, and a football game all by 12:30? Despite how excited as I am for basketball, I may do 1,2, and 4, and skip 3.
redisgoodParticipantCoach Gott told CBS sports both Caleb and Cody have made significant jumps since March. With a slimmed down BJ, one of the best point guards in the ACC, a couple of sharp shooters on the wing in Rowan & Henderson, and Freeman / Abu down low, I think I’m getting excited for basketball.
redisgoodParticipant“Russel Wilson is better off sticking to baseball.”
“River’s doesn’t have a strong enough arm…and that delivery…yikes.”

redisgoodParticipantVia bball’s twitter feed….
Bad news: 10:45am start.
Good news: free t-shirt for the first 750 folks still sober enough to find their way there from tailgating.Well that’s not very smart. Is Yow channeling her inner LF?
The start time is unfortunate. At least 2 five star basketball recruits had to cancel because they couldn’t get in to town that early.
redisgoodParticipantAccording to Gott, BJ is a svelte 284 right now, targeting 275 by season’s start. I hope he can maintain it. We are going to need lots of minutes from him this year. That is very encouraging.
redisgoodParticipantIt looks like Jacoby might be airing it out Saturday night against USA. Coach D is expecting them to put their safeties in the box to slow down the run, and as a result, he expects Brissett to have a big game passing. This may be the day we see Hines go deep. Cherry as well.
09/20/2015 at 9:04 AM in reply to: Game Thread: Wolfpack Football vs Monarchs of Old Dominion #89017redisgoodParticipantHaha, yes it was definitely a high school type stadium. I laughed when we tried to go out one gate for a beer at halftime, and were told re-entries aren’t allowed. So we went to the next gate where they were letting people go out to have a cigarette and come back in. The beer tasted just as good going out that gate.
Not a bad game overall, but I think there are still some things to clean up before we get into the ACC schedule. Pass coverage looks a little shaky, and we have been helped by the other team dropping passes in all three games. I’m worried we could get burned big time here. The other is we don’t seem to have any kind of a vertical passing game. I know we’re running the ball really well, and the short passes are working, but we need some semblance of a deep threat. So far it’s been a combination of the receivers not getting any separation, and Jacoby not looking their way when they do separate. I’m hoping its because DD is keeping things pretty vanilla until we play tougher teams.
I was also walking out beside Jacoby, and he had a noticeable limp. I think it might have happened on his long run late in the 3rd qtr. Hope it’s just a minor thing.
redisgoodParticipantI’m going to make the trip to Norfolk Saturday to watch the game. I’m not familiar with the area or the stadium. Anyone have any tips re. parking, tailgating, etc?
redisgoodParticipantAnyone know or like our chances with Bam Adebeyo other than scout247’s predictions??? Getting his commitment would strongly suggest the major recruiting trail leaves duke and bypasses conservative hill straight to Raleigh.
I don’t want to jinx it, but it is as close to a lock as you can get. Hopefully he announces soon.
redisgoodParticipantDSJ, Bam, Abu, Freeman, the Martin’s, Maverick, Dorn. That is a team I cannot wait to see.
redisgoodParticipantWhat fantastic news! Gott has landed some quality recruits, but this is his biggest one yet. And Bam is still to come. Huge recruiting breakthrough.
redisgoodParticipantI think this is a terrific idea. These two guys are crucial in terms of the team getting to the next level. We are still in the lead for both of them, but every major program in the country is after them.
Regarding cost, the helicopter is privately owned by a donor, and not costing the university anything.
