RaisedByWolvesParticipant
I mean tomorrow night.
RaisedByWolvesParticipantIt was certainly a horrible way to end the season (and to spend an evening), but I still really like this team and appreciate the attitude and growth we’ve seen during the season. To put things in perspective, they exceeded preseason expectations, and really, barring a miracle, we were going to suffer a loss at some point in the coming days or weeks. It just came one game earlier than most of us expected and in a more painful fashion. I do wonder if some of the guys were under the weather; after all, Cat had the flu just two days earlier and they’ve all been cooped up on airplanes together this week.
Now, on to the women’s game tonight against BYU.
RaisedByWolvesParticipantMaybe TJ will feel the need to come back next year and make amends.
RaisedByWolvesParticipantI wish I could relax and enjoy it.
RaisedByWolvesParticipantEvery time I get a glimpse of the BC coach, I think it’s the president from House of Cards.
RaisedByWolvesParticipant79-63 final.
Way to go, Ladies!!
RaisedByWolvesParticipantI’m starting to relax. Up 16 with 40 seconds left.
RaisedByWolvesParticipantNine point game, 1:24 to go. The fouling begins.
RaisedByWolvesParticipant68-58 State with 3:49 left. We’re definitely missing Gatling. The knee gods certainly aren’t happy with us.
RaisedByWolvesParticipantState up by 13 at the under-8 TO, but Gatling has been taken to the locker room with a knee injury after scoring career-high 28 pts (if I heard correctly).
RaisedByWolvesParticipantState up by three with 12:21 left. They lost power at the Coliseum briefly (happened last night, too), and it takes 20 minutes for the lights to come back up entirely. So, we have a nice long break now, right as State got the momentum back. (sigh)
RaisedByWolvesParticipantPack clawing back, within 2. 13:40 to go.
RaisedByWolvesParticipant38-31 Syracuse @ the half.
RaisedByWolvesParticipantGame tied 14-14 with 11:12 left in the first half. State led the entire time so far until Syracuse tied it up a minute or so ago.
RaisedByWolvesParticipantThrilled to see Coach Moore named COY! I’m looking forward to watching the game Friday (and, with any luck, Saturday and Sunday). We’ve lost a couple of key players to injury; hopefully some others will rise to the opportunity.
It’s quite satisfying to see us seeded higher than *NC, too!
RaisedByWolvesParticipantTwo point game.
RaisedByWolvesParticipantWow, some excitement here at about the one minute mark. State down 3, free throw coming after TO.
RaisedByWolvesParticipantHole lead cut to 4. Time for our amazing comeback.
Oh! Turnover. Our ball.
RaisedByWolvesParticipantUh oh.
RaisedByWolvesParticipantState shot 20 free throws in the first half; UNC, 5. That’s a stat that makes you do a double take.
RaisedByWolvesParticipantPack up by 1 at the half!
RaisedByWolvesParticipantState is eight for eight on free throws. Refreshing.
RaisedByWolvesParticipantHow many fouls does Gatling have? Two?
RaisedByWolvesParticipantWe’ve lost it the last few years, but we lost most games the last few years.
RaisedByWolvesParticipantNice to hear Nate Irving’s name mentioned so much!
