Prowling WoofieParticipant
Do you think anyone in the media will ever pick up the cars/parking tickets/payment of parking tickets ball and run with it ???
That’s a prong that hasn’t been run to it’s conclusion yet !
Prowling WoofieParticipantEasy, fellas – my point was that fan support – despite recent results – has been strong in Carter-Finley. For that matter, it has been for the 20-something years I’ve been regularly attending games, and I’m not even a Wolfpack alumnus. Guess I should’ve said the comment was tongue-in-cheek… my apologies !
Prowling WoofieParticipantAttendance
Total: 270,779 (4, 33)
Average: 54,156 (5, 37)
Pct Capacity: 94.05% (3, 39)Given the product on display on the field, I dare say we’ve heard the last grumblings from the coaching staff regarding fan support ????
Prowling WoofieParticipantAwesome run defense today.
Atrocious pass defense.
Great work by Baumann and Sade, and McKever, of course.
Great to get a conference victory, and a road one, at that !
Onward and upward.
Prowling WoofieParticipantKevin Ngandi (sp?) of ESPN tried to get Roy to answer questions this morning, and after stumbling over a couple, Roy played the old “I’ll be glad to talk basketball if you want to talk basketball, but I’m not going to talk about that other crap” line.
Guilty, guilty, guilty…
10/28/2014 at 11:02 PM in reply to: The Rest Of The ACC Should Be Mad (Until I Start Handing Out Titles) #60101Prowling WoofieParticipantOutstanding piece of work, WV Wolf !
Makes my blood boil, but an outstanding piece of work.
Should be forwarded to every ACC school president and athletic director….
Prowling WoofieParticipantThough nothing will come from the NCAA of any consequence, at least now everyone will KNOW FOR CERTAIN, that when they walk into the Dean Dome (a building named after the architect of the cheating scandal – he did, after all, instruct Matt Doherty not to change the system in place) and look into the rafters, that at least half of the laundry up there belongs to ineligible athletes, as well as at least two of the National Championship banners…
Those assholes can print as many T-shirts and have as many rings made as they want, we all know enough of the truth (though certainly not all of it) to keep laughing at them for decades to come.
BTW, if they start reneging banners and vacating wins, that’s going to hurt Schnoz and Ole Roy a bunch on the Career Wins Meter, isn’t it ????
Prowling WoofieParticipantIt’s hilarious that UNX has people thinking this has only gone on for 18 years ! I had a good friend that played football for them back in the Dick Crum years (late 70’s- early 80’s), and he said “they” offered to write his papers and do his assignments. He was a brilliant student, and didn’t trust “them” to make better grades than he would on his own, so he declined, but the ‘service’ was available back then….
Prowling WoofieParticipantWillingham and Jay Smith’s book, coming out in March (I think), should make for interesting reading !
Prowling WoofieParticipant“Clem Haskins – 18 players.
Dean Smith et al – 3,100 student(gag)-athletes.
I think the number is higher than that, but even that conservative number represents 172/year. “
Double-checked my figures here:
3,100 students, of whom 47.6% were student(gag)-athletes, which is roughly 1,475. That still means an average of about 82/year for 18 years.
Staggering…
Prowling WoofieParticipantClem Haskins – 18 players.
Dean Smith et al – 3,100 student(gag)-athletes.
I think the number is higher than that, but even that conservative number represents 172/year. Assuming a bell curve as they ramped it up and then backed off as the heat was applied, and you’ve got a staggering number of occurrences during those title-winning years, no doubt.
Lose the laundry, strip the records.
Oh, and fire the Commish. For being the lying, hypocritical POS we’ve all known he is.
Prowling WoofieParticipantAbsolutely LOVING that this fraud was tied to King Schnoz himself, the Deity of the Carolina Way. But very disappointed (not surprised, mind you) that the obvious dots didn’t hammer Ole Roy. He played for him, he coached under him, he modeled the fraudulent system at Kansas after him, and came home to inherit the well-oiled machine and benefit from it.
Take the sheets down…. It’s about time !
Prowling WoofieParticipantCan’t believe they’ve cut the seating capacity in half… I’m sure the Hall will be nice, though.
Prowling WoofieParticipantI’m guessing that the only defense worse than State’s in conference is Wake Forest ?
Hoping that it’s a team we haven’t played yet…..
Prowling WoofieParticipantDon’t give a damn anymore. Real sorry, as I love spending fall afternoons tailgating with friends and enjoying a victorious conference football game. That hasn’t happened in almost two years now.
3* recruits are the best we are getting, and – as success breeds success – seem to be our high-water mark. This ship has already sailed, and it’s only halfway through the initial contract period.
I thought for sure we’d beat Wake and UNX this year, given their level of ineptitude. We may still beat Wake, but UNX will hang 50+ on our non-existent defense, and our vanishing offense stands no chance of keeping up with them.
DD’s best-case scenario is 1-15 in the conference after this season. Think about that….
Prowling WoofieParticipantI know we’re in a “rebuilding phase”, but just how bad is it when your team MVP one year is your Placekicker, and the next year it’s your Punter ???
That’s no criticism of Sade and Baumann, God bless ’em !!! Just shows the sorry state of the program at this point.
Prowling WoofieParticipantUnfortunately, in order to have any chance to win this year, our guys will HAVE to average 40 pts/game. Hoping we’ve got some redshirts or incoming recruits that will be able to raise the defensive bar next year. As they are only rushing 4, you’d think 7 defenders would be enough to stop 4-5 receivers…
Prowling WoofieParticipantAnd Bo Hines might’ve gotten Receiver of the Week, had we not let Rashad Greene torch us all day…
Prowling WoofieParticipantAsshat David Glenn was running down Doeren and State fans today on his ‘show’. Doeren for complaining about fake injuries (according to Glenn, there was only “one questionable instance” of a fake injury by FSU players…), and State fans for booing the “injured” Criminoles for their obvious delay tactics.
I was there Saturday, and I was booing, too ! It was plain to see what was going on, and unless I’m mistaken, only one or two of those players did not return to the game shortly after their game-delaying ‘injuries’.
Great atmosphere, great support of the team and their effort. Wouldn’t change a thing, except the outcome !
Prowling WoofieParticipantHas BMFD finished bleeding the Holes ?
No coach in their right mind – in the process of building a successful Big 5 program – would take the albatross that is Kansas football. I’m more concerned with the Michigan scenario, frankly, especially if they get rebuffed a couple of times.
However, I don’t think Doeren will bolt on us until he builds a winner, if then.
09/26/2014 at 10:40 AM in reply to: UNC ‘Supervisor of Morale’: This guy is SO STUPID that I have to post it #56991Prowling WoofieParticipantDoes anybody think that this imbecile would’ve gotten airtime if the head honcho at ESPN weren’t a Tarhole ??? Wonder who’s writing HIS papers ?
Prowling WoofieParticipantReally nice work, WV…
Hard to believe as inept as we’ve been in football, we top the list of belt holders 🙂
Prowling WoofieParticipantThis game should be like an NFL 3rd Preseason game – starters work the first half and build a comfortable margin, while the second- and third-teamers get the second half work to hone their skills.
If this doesn’t happen, we’re in trouble again this year…
Our guys need to have the mindset that they are playing in a Power Five conference – anything less is totally unacceptable against a first year FBS (and only sixth year overall) team.
No excuse for any nail-biting in this game – at all.
Prowling WoofieParticipantVery classy of him to keep all three local schools on his list – whether or not he’s interested ! You know those three have been making the effort for the past couple of years, so it’s a nice gesture to throw the local guys a bone. That being said….
08/08/2014 at 9:25 AM in reply to: Wolfpack’s football scheduling philosophy and future games #54093Prowling WoofieParticipantWe play Duke – a conference rival just 30 miles away – once in the next DECADE.
We play ECU – a non-conference, no benefit trap game – 3 times during that span.
